Re: realtime.txt fails in raspberry Pi image

Urgh - symlinks :( You'll have to explain the purpose of those. Unless they are in the cmx image - in that case it'll be over to Dazza. Isn't /run a partition using ramdisk so as to reduce writes to the sdcard? root@wxserver:~# df Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on /dev/root 303939...

Re: LOOP: xx - Expected data not received, expected 99 bytes, got 0

I wondered myself if perhaps the consoles were receiving bad packets of data from the transmitter. However, I have checked the percentage of good packets from both of my consoles and they are almost always 100%. My transmitter is not that far from my consoles approximately 15 meters (~50 feet). Now...

Re: LOOP: xx - Expected data not received, expected 99 bytes, got 0

I get these errors too from time to time but they never last more than a minute or two. I have a wireless 6253 with the solar suite and have had it now since Jun 2013. Example from today: 2024-01-28 10:19:43 - LOOP: 2 - Timed out waiting for LOOP data 2024-01-28 10:19:42 - LOOP: 2 - Expected data no...

Re: domanda stupida su stazione vevor

If it's like an Acurite the answer to that will likely be no, but without knowing what device the Vevor is a clone of, it's tough.

This page should help

My thought too. I've had very little issues with that. If I notice it next time I'll see what it's doing with Mark's command. Thanks for the responses guys.

Odd error (b3248)

I'll preface this by saying I searched for this and there are a few posts here, but I'm using b3248 currently (waiting for some of the issues I'm seeing from people in b3257 to update it). This morning I woke up to trying to access the dashboard on Cumulux but getting a very vanilla looking template...

Re: Suggestion: On CMX updates, provide an option for only those files that were updated from the previous release

I mean really, the only reason I have made the modification is to ensure that once it's warm enough to display heat index (in the US that's 80 degrees F and above) the dashboard does this. Once it drops below it I have it revert to wind chill. Maybe adding an option programmatically to do this could...

Suggestion: On CMX updates, provide an option for only those files that were updated from the previous release

I have done some modifications to the interface (small ones, mainly having to do with having the WC block change to heat index which required modifying the index.html and the dashboard.js, as well as my menu.js mods). The problem is the entire package destroys those mods if I just overwrite it. Ther...

Re: CUMULUS MX DASHBOARD DISPLAY PROBLEMS

Another solution would be put your home network on a VPN. This is what I do, but I have several devices within the home network (plus a router) that is able to do this. It's typically the easiest solution. Especially if you have a router that supports this. All that needs done is to set up credentia...

Re: 4500 days of date

I have 5400 or so lines in my dayfile.txt file. So I'm assuming that means I have 5400 days. Started the data gathering in 2008 I believe.

Re: Help requested please FTP up-load problem

It almost looks like the server isn't accepting passive connections (which is why the connection port is in the 63000 range; that's where the passive ports are). Can you try using SFTP instead? I'm not sure if Cumulus has an option for passive FTP (I've never tried it) and not sure it would even mat...

Could it be that another service is linking to it? Kinda like what happens with CWOP feeding to Weatherunderground? They feed NOAAs MADIS program as well.

Re: Ambient WS2000 IP address

That seems a bit radical. So CumulusMx cannot be told what IP to use? Perhaps we need another config item in settings. No, if you want to keep the same IP address then CumuluxMX isn't what you configure. You need to make the device you're running CMX on retrieve a static IP. My guess is yours is se...

Re: PWSWeather: "missing required parameter dateutc"

I can take a look at this later today - I have electricians in today so the power will be on/off Thanks, Mark. Obviously this isn't a life-or-death issue, but I prefer PWSweather to WUnderground and at the moment, WU is all I'm reporting to. Interesting, I upload to PWS as well and I'm not seeing t...

Re: number of processes?

After I made a few tweaks, it runs on Windows fine, no increase in memory or thread count after a day of running lots of uploads at one-minute intervals. The exact same configuration on Linux - fail, the process count increases at random intervals. For the technically inclined, the uploads are each...
