Re: Cumulus Mx

Will there ever be an installation of cumulus mx without an internet connected so it can be installed as easy as cumulus 1 While I am not 100% sure, but I think you could access MX on the same wachine with no network connection by just bringing up a browser and entering http://localhost:8998 Worth ...

Re: Thank you, Steve for 15 years of support

I found Cumulus back in 2013 and I have been so impressed with Steve's, and everyone else here on the forum, willingness to help with every kind of issue under the sun. The tireless work has not gone unnoticed and will not be forgotten. Steve and Beth, enjoy whatever you choose to do and know that M...

Re: New Record? Post here.

My record lowest humidity is 17% in March 2017. That's pretty exceptional for an island that gets most of its weather from the North Atlantic. Yours would be interesting. Humidity this year has been as high as 97% and as low as 2%. Closest ocean is probably 180 miles SSW down to the Gulf of Califor...

Yesterday's Low Humidity was 13% at 3:55PM and the High Humidity was 41% at 8:51AM.

It cooled off a bit today, the high temp was 115.8F. :)

You actually do get used to it, and you don't have to shovel sunshine.

Re: New Record? Post here.

This station's all-time driest period ended on 12 July with 26 days of no measurable precipitation. Beat the previous record set back in 2011. LongestDry.png This years longest dry period 96 days Friday, June 15, 2018 And my record dry period since I started my station 127 days Monday, July 7, 2014...

Re: Accessing my C MX weather via WAN/internet

Would it be a matter of just opening port 8998 and directing it to my R Pi's LAN IP? I am not sure how I would get around my ISP not providing a static IP, maybe I could log in via my IP cams redirect facility, to find out the WAN IP, then to the R Pi's website? Try https://www.noip.com/ for your i...

Re: AMBIENT WS 2092

I would say that if your current station is working well then there is really no need to replace it. Just get a Raspberry Pi3 and run Cumulus MX. It really is not that hard to set up and takes very little power. That is what I use with my Davis Vantage Vu and I love it. I plan on buying this in the ...

Re: Which software for first time user?

Solution found. Found the cable I need in another box of worms, actually three of them. Now I will have to move the base station to the bedroom and find a place to put it. Also have to decide whether to use the table top PC or dedicate one to the unused lap tops so it can run 24/7. Thks a look at r...

Re: New Record? Post here.

Given the high temps in England gentlemen were allowed to remove their jackets at Royal Ascot. Ties must remain however. There are standards when you are watching horse racing with the Queen present. :D The US has a more relaxed attitude. With those temps I'm not surprised. :o I would hope the Quee...

Anyone crazy enough to wear a tie in this heat deserves the roasting they got! :)

And now revise the high to 121.2F (49.5C) at 4:28PM, and it may go higher. Low this morning was 82F (27.7C).

A new record high temp for my station here today in Chandler Arizona, 120.4F (49.1C) at 2:39PM. Previous record was 119.1F (48.9C) on June 19th 2016.

But it is a DRY heat. Humidity is at 8%.

Re: Upgrading Vue ISS to Vantage PRO2 PLUS

Anyway my siting, which is constrained by neighbors who think they have a right to zero skyline visible equipment. Gack, Gotta love HOA's. That is one reason I didn't buy in an HOA area and I also have my amateur radio license. My weather station is on the side of my 60+ foot antenna tower and I'm ...

Image comes up fine, but a lot of buffering on the stream. Looks pretty good though on Chrome and Win7.

Raspberry PI with TeamViewer

There is now a Beta version of TeamViewer out for the Raspberry Pi2 & Pi3

https://pages.teamviewer.com/published/raspberrypi/

Pretty easy to set up and run on the Pi too. I have TeamViewer running on most of my computers and it sure makes remoting into them a lot easier.
