I got it working. i accidentally deleted wxnow.txt and reinstated it from the rubbish bin and didn't think anything more of it . I looked at the wxnow.now with wordpad, and lo, realtime.txt started to write.

hi all, I have been using Cumulus for many years without a hitch. Suddenly when the new year rolled over Cumulus stopped writing/upgrading realtime.txt in its local folder. Hi I have successfully built an Australian fire danger index reporter on my site here: http://cablesat.com.au/shielphi/ in javascript which reports real-time fire index using Cumulus's variables. The problem is that I can't write the data to a log file so I can't bring it up and display a line graph...

hi I have been programming the Australian fire danger rating algorithm for some time now. Look at my page here:
