Hard to let it go I imagine. Might be useful for comparison purposes.

Don't you have to wipe your records clean with a change of location? Unless it's only a short distance of course.

Very much so Mark. And editing out any rogue data is easy too.

3000 days of Cumulus!

Another landmark day today for this station. 3,000 days of weather collected using Cumulus. :D

Thank you Steve for creating such a wonderful utility. I'm still running v1 but it does all I need so why change?

Here's to the next thousand days!

Re: Lack of updates

Hi Steve,

I wish you well whatever path your life takes you down. Life must seem very different now to when you worked from home.

Cumulus 1 continues to be totally stable for me and I'm just 15 days away from 3000 days of observations. Great software!! :D

Re: Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus - Non-recording of Little Rain

Thanks again to Steve for his comments, and to PaulMy and Ray Proudfoot for their additional comments. I now have a better understanding of recording very small amounts of rain. I am yet again very impressed with this Forum, both with the knowledge of other members and their willingness to share it...

Re: Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus - Non-recording of Little Rain

Chris, Another VP2 owner here. I've set 0.02" as the trigger for a 'rain day'. I find in very humid conditions dew can reach 0.01" which would mess up rainfall records. It does take a reasonable amount of rain to trigger a single bucket trigger. The bucket may be dry if it hasn't rained fo...

Genuine All-Time Record this evening. Highest Dew Point. I had to add some extra code as I hadn't been showing this record.

Yes, it surprised me but I checked and no one has a barbecue going. ;) just one or two drops here. The sun appeared around that time so was probably the reason.

Re: New Record? Post here.

Somewhat surprisingly the June record went again this afternoon. 30.1 to 30.4.

Re: New Record? Post here.

I would hope the Queen would be inside an air conditioned suite. They actually forbid pets out on the hiking trails around town when the temp is over 100F, but people are still allowed and are crazy enough to hike the mountains even at 120F. Firefighters still have to climb up and rescue the hikers...

Re: New Record? Post here.

Anyone crazy enough to wear a tie in this heat deserves the roasting they got! :) And now revise the high to 121.2F (49.5C) at 4:28PM, and it may go higher. Low this morning was 82F (27.7C). Given the high temps in England gentlemen were allowed to remove their jackets at Royal Ascot. Ties must rem...

But it is a DRY heat. Humidity is at 8%.

Were people allowed to dispense with their ties at work? :D

Re: New Record? Post here.

And only 5 other times over 30°C in July. Looks like 5th highest of all time... Enjoy, Paul Almost right Paul. ;) Today was the 7th with a max of 30.0 or higher. Still pretty impressive at 53.5N. Impossible to say whether the all-time 32.1C will go this year but it has been a very warm year so far ...
