Re: Minus temperature readings

Probably a failing temperature sensor. Where in the world are you and how long have you had the VP2?

Ah, Cornwall I see. Close to the sea? Maybe salt air has caused corrosion.

Re: Site going down.

Thanks Steve. Not a major issue for me but given recent events thought it worth asking. I imagine you're feeling a lot better now! Time for a beer or two! :D

Re: Site going down.

Not sure if this related or not but when I log into my account with FileZilla it notifies me the certificate has expired. Is that a potential area of concern?

Re: Site going down.

Thanks Steve. I’m breathing a huge sigh of relief. Things looked very bleak over the weekend but you’ve done a great job in sorting things out aided by Ken.

Re: Site going down.

Steve, thanks for the update. Way over my head I’m afraid. Does this now mean the malware is no more and the hosting company have removed the threat of closure?

Re: New Record? Post here.

There's a General Discussion - General section. Probably best there instead of in a topic dedicated to new records.

Re: Site going down.

These people who have nothing better to do than cause mayhem are a bloody disgrace. I feel for you Steve right in the middle of your holiday.

You may just have that Eureka moment and crack it. I hope the company are sympathetic to your plight and maybe offer some assistance.

Very good news Steve and absolutely no apology required. Well done between you and Hetzner for finding the culprit.

Re: Site going down.

Good work men! I don't know how many stations Steve is hosting but it would be helpful to our cause if they could take the time to write and express concern at the possible cessation of our hosting service.

Re: Site going down.

I've received this reply this morning. Obviously I'm unable to login as I'm not the customer. I'm guessing all the others who posted will receive identical messages. Any advice Steve on how we can help you with this? "Dear Client, Thank you very much for your enquiry. For reasons of security an...

Re: Site going down.

Well done David. Good reply. Hopefully it will make them think. My weather website - http://www.cheadlehulmeweather.co.uk - is hosted by your company via Steve Loft, owner of sandaysoft.com. Steve has made us aware that because of some spam emails being sent from that site's IP address you are threa...

I’ve sent them a message pleading for them not to close the service and to work with Steve in resolving the problem. Fingers crossed.

Re: Site going down.

Steve, Given you’ve been with this company for many years it does seem a very hard-faced attitude they’re taking. Perhaps explaining this will affect an awful lot of people both with the loss of the forum as well as many hosted weather sites when there’s only one bad apple (not even one of us) will ...
