Re: Error "error [object Object]"

Yes, you should be able to edit Cumulus.ini while Cumulus is stopped.

Are there any error messages in the MXdiags file at the time you attempt to update the settings?

Re: Sharing wx data between two Raspberry pi's

It rewrites the file once a minute. Your answer to my question isn't clear - is it or is it not writing entries to the sept log file? If not, is your station fully working - as mentioned in the FAQ, Cumulus requires a number of sensors to be working before it starts saving data.

Re: Sharing wx data between two Raspberry pi's

You don't need to enable WU, it's nothing to do with the wxnow.txt file. I don't know why you wouldn't have a wxnow.txt file,it should be creating it by default, just as with Cumulus 1 - as laulau has said. Is MX doing other things periodically, e.g. Adding entries to the sept log file?

Re: Error "error [object Object]"

It may be one of the other settings. What version of Mono are you using, and what regional setting?

Re: Strange Daily Rain - 18.31in

For some reason your station supplied zero for the annual rain total, for a short period. Cumulus relies on this figure to calculate the daily rainfall.

Re: CumulusMX dashboard

Your directory starts with two slashes, so that's wrong, and you haven't supplied a username so the login is presumably failing.

Re: Error "error [object Object]"

It may be because of the non-ASCII characters in your description field.

Re: Sharing wx data between two Raspberry pi's

No, I think you were right, the aprs file is wxnow.txt

Re: Sharing wx data between two Raspberry pi's

How were you sending aprs data using Cumulus 1? Using the text file generated by Cumulus whose name I have completely forgotten? If so, you need a way to copy that file to the other Pi - a Linux expert can probably help you with that.

Re: Dew Point Calculation

I'm not clear on what screen you're referring to, as you mention graphs and gauges, and whether you mean a screen in Cumulus or on the web, and whether or not you are using Mark's Steelseries gauges. My confusion may well stem from the fact that I can't remember what the gauges screen in Cumulus 1 l...

Re: Dew Point Calculation

If you right click on the graph in Cumulus you can remove items. I can't say whether MX has the same issue. I'll look at the code when I next get chance.

Re: CumulusMX dashboard

You are trying to do too much in one go, it is pointless trying to configure internet settings until you actually get Cumulus reading data from your station. You also seem to be trying to get Cumulus 1.9.4. working at the same time and also configuring lots of internet uploads in that before you eve...

Re: realtimegauges.txt - available from API?

I would have to boot up my laptop to check for certain, but I'm pretty sure there is no API call for the actual file contents as it's generated in the usual way by processing a template file. However, when used as part of the user interface the data is obtained via an API call, if you look at the Ja...

Re: at System.Net.WebConnection.HandleError(WebExceptionStatus st, System.Exception e,

Yes - it's not a particularly helpful exception message as it doesn't actually say what the exception is!

Re: Dew Point Calculation

I don't have an Instromet station now, and I'm not sure I have a copy of the protocol spec, so I'm afraid I can't be of much help.
