Re: Weather Underground not updating

Did you restart MX after enabling WU?

If that doesn't help, turn off rapid fire and turn on debug logging, so that the diags files will show something.

Re: Can CumulusMX catchup

I have changed to logging interval in CumulusMX to that of tha Davies Vantage station, and I have also looked through the FAQ but couldn't see where CumulusMX could be forced to read the Davies logger reading http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#On_restarting_Cumulus.2C_it_did_not_successfully_read_all...

Re: Can CumulusMX catchup

Yes, it's described in the main Cumulus FAQ. One reason that it may not have been able to download the data would be if you have the Davis logger interval and the Cumulus logging interval set to different values. This is also described in the documentation.

Re: Can CumulusMX catchup

It certainly tries to. If WU won't accept the data at the time, that's a WU issue.

Re: Cumulus1 how to enter data

Have you supplied the FULL correct serial device name? Have you looked at the FAQ as I suggested, where you would see the following? "Serial device names on Linux are not COM0 etc as in Windows. You need to specify something like /dev/ttyUSB0 - do a dmesg at a command line prompt and look for t...

Re: Cumulus1 how to enter data

Serial port names on Linux do not look like 'COM0'. There is information in the MX FAQ about this.

Re: Cumulus1 how to enter data

Cumulus 1 only runs on Windows. Cumulus MX will run on Linux, with Mono installed.

Re: Cumulus1 how to enter data

You can edit the data files, the formats are in the help and the wiki. There are also facilities in Cumulus 1 for generating the daily summaries in dayfile.txt and the all-time records, once you have entered data into the monthly log files.

Re: Cumulus MX on OSX issues

I suspect that Safari has helpfully unzipped the file for you. So you need to navigate to that folder in the terminal. Might be better to move it rather than leave it on the desktop.

Re: CumulusMX error

Something has happened on your system, Cumulus thinks you only started using it today. You have no data logs. I'm afraid I can't say more than that.

Re: CumulusMX error

If you zip up the mx diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look. There may be something in there which helps.

Re: CumulusMX error

Is it possible that your system settings have changed? In particular something like the decimal separator?

Re: Need to identify web template in use

Forgive me for asking what seems to me to be an obvious question, but why do the owners of the web site not know what they are using on their web site?

Re: Notice for those using MX and making some MySQL changes

It's because it initialises the objects for the 'custom' sql operations without checking that 'enabled' is set, which it does for the 'non custom' ones. I'm not sure why I didn't put the check in, but presumably the component code throws an exception if an invalid port number is supplied.
