Re: Download Progress info missing

See the FAQ: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#I.E2.80.99ve_just_installed_Cumulus.2C_and_it_didn.E2.80.99t_download_all_the_old_data_from_my_weather_station It's done for consistency and simplicity, reducing the risk of issues with the data from the station when Cumulus is first run.

Re: Download Progress info missing

The amount of new data available in the logger isn't known in advance, Cumulus has to work backwards from the latest entry to work it out. I'm pretty sure there is code in there to give a progress indication from that point on, i.e. while it is actually processing the data, in the progress window an...

Re: _wapi_connect: error looking up socket handle

What version of Mono are you using? It may be a bug that they have fixed in a later version. As you have a Davis station, you should be OK with the latest version. Assuming that you have debug logging turned on, are any messages logged to the MXdiags files about the PWS updates, which look like they...

Re: FTP taking a long time to upload

FTP is a very inefficient protocol, and for small files like the ones Cumulus uploads, it's the number of files involved which slow things down, rather than the total size. If you turn on ftp logging the ftplog.txt file should show what's going on and where the time is being used.

Re: Can't see the graphs

I don't know what the xml upload is that you're referring to, but if it's a file you asked Cumulus to upload by ftp, the only place the password is held is along with the username etc in the internet settings. If you changed your password while Cumulus is running you might need to restart Cumulus to...

Re: Can't see the graphs

The required javascript files are giving a '404 not found', so it looks like you haven't uploaded the contents of the webfiles directory supplied with MX.

Re: forecast is wrong

Two things:

1. Read the FAQ
http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#Cumulus_got_the_forecast_wrong.21

2. The forecast for the East Midlands says to expect thundery showers.

Re: Please help. Comport for CumulusMX on Pi3

You don't need a com port for a WMR100 as it's a USB device. If you have the required packages installed as described in the instructions, Cumulus will automatically detect the device.

Re: WMR100 - RasberryPi 3 - Data stops

All I can say from the log is that MX stopped receiving data. It's difficult to see how MX could be the cause of the problem, as it only reads from the device. Perhaps the powered hub will help. Note that the timeouts are part of the normal reading of data.

Re: Help - Windows 10 has murdered Cumulus.

Your site looks good from here.

Messing with settings is fairly common with Windows 10 updates, it's very annoying.

Re: Help - Windows 10 has murdered Cumulus.

You are using a version of realtimegaugesT.txt which doesn't work with MX because the date and time format strings are different: "date":"07:nn" MX comes with the correct file, and in the latest build you just enable it, you don't need to specify any paths beyond the one that you...

Re: Help - Windows 10 has murdered Cumulus.

So you still have realtimegauges.txt set in the the internet settings? Is Cumulus updating the realtimegauges.txt file on your PC? If you turn on ftp logging, the ftplog.txt file will show what happens when Cumulus tries to upload the file. Your realtime.txt file is updating, so you clearly have rea...

Re: Help - Windows 10 has murdered Cumulus.

Your realtimegauges.txt stopped updating at the about the time you posted your "I think I may have sussed it". Did you change any settings - do you still have the realtimegauges.txt set in MX?

Re: Help - Windows 10 has murdered Cumulus.

I did wonder if it was something to do with a firewall, but I thought that would stop connections rather than stop MX setting up the listener. Well done.

Could you also go into the start menu and click on your user picture, and check that it then shows that your user is an Administrator (rather than 'standard user')?
