Re: CumulusMX Error - Windows

That error is usually a result of not running MX as administrator.

Re: Data Restoration

Once you have repopulated monthly logs, you need to use the day file.txt editor to create the missing entries (or you may already have done that by copying the entries). Then you can use the other editors to extract the highs and lows. I'm pretty sure there is more information about this in the FAQ ...

Re: reseting today extremes

As I said above, wait until Cumulus has logged the next entry in the data logs and then restart it.

This, and lots of other information, is in the FAQ and the wiki.

Re: reseting today extremes

Use the 'today's rain' editor in Cumulus to set it to the correct value, wait until Cumulus has written the next log entry, and then restart it. That should also correct the monthly and annual totals.

Re: reseting today extremes

To change the monthly and annual totals, you will need to use the dayfile.txt editor in Cumulus and edit the daily totals. Then restart Cumulus.

Re: reseting today extremes

It depends what you mean by 'reset'. They are held in today.ini, so you could stop Cumulus and edit that file. Or wait until tomorrow, they will reset automatically.

Re: WU Update error

The WU update line is showing the response that MX gets back from the system code when it does the HTTP 'get' to send the data to WU.

Re: Advice Needed for a Project

As I haven't found any products to really do what I want, I'd like to create my own using PHP which I've dabbled in a bit. I would need to do things like create the equivalent versions of the dayfile.txt and monthly.txt files from Cumulus. If I'm writing the code and providing credit to Cumulus in ...

We're off... again

We leave tomorrow in the motorhome for our next adventure. We're heading slowly south and are booked on Eurotunnel in the first week of September. We'll then 'turn right' and explore Normandy and Brittany, and then probably head south and then who knows where. We have no idea when we will be back in...

Re: Missing XMl file

The realtime.xml file is not part of Cumulus, so you need to configure MX to process it just as you would have had to have done with Cumulus 1.

I don't know what you mean by your password question.

Re: Error with dayfile.txt

As swfs correctly guessed, you have set both the decimal separator and list separator on your system to a comma. This means that it is impossible to tell where one number ends and the next one begins. You will need to change one of them, as well as correcting your data.

Re: Error with dayfile.txt

You will need to use a text editor to edit the file, with Cumulus stopped. The problem will probably be obvious, if not, attach your dayfile.txt here and someone will be able to help.

Re: Cumulux on Armbian - Orange PI

It's not a problem with the COM port setting, because that's not used for USB stations. The problem is as in the error message - you don't have libudev.so.0 on your system.
