Re: Davis Pro2 connection questions

Serial port names on OS X and Linux don't look like Windows COM port names, they look like /dev/ttyUSB0 etc. I can't remember what the usual port is on a Mac, you could try the one I mentioned or perhaps /dev/ttys000 - right now I can't remember exactly how you determine the correct port on a Mac - ...

Re: No historic records read from Davis station after power cut

I think you'll have to use Weatherlink to change the logging interval - although I'm not familiar with the Vue, and it is possible that they have made it adjustable via the console on those.

Re: No historic records read from Davis station after power cut

You apparently have Cumulus set to a different logging interval to your console - 10 minutes in Cumulus and 30 minutes in the console, despite the warning in the readme.txt. This can cause a number of issues due to undocumented 'features' of the console firmware. One possible issue is that the conso...

Re: Bad rainfall

Your console was sending bad data for a while, from time to time. At the same time you quoted, there was this: 2017-04-25 18:19:44.183 Ignoring wind speeds. Speed=0 mph, Avg=255 mph. Presumably it lost contact with the ISS for a time. This apparently also caused it to send zero for the annual rain t...

Re: We're off..

We're back. For a few months, anyway  We no longer have the RV, we swapped it for something smaller and Canadian while we were away. I have a lot to do to the house and the motorhome, so I'm afraid being back home doesn't mean I'll suddenly have a lot of time for Cumulus development. I will try...

Re: Davis Pro 2 (fm 1.7.3) and Cumulus MX not reporting to Weather Underground

Ok I changed the interval but also figured out the reason why it wasn't sending data was because I used my username for Weather Underground instead of my station ID. This is different I think. In the 1.x version it required the username. Cumulus 1.x also requires the station ID, it's required by th...

Re: Feature Suggestion ;) tmp folder

It's a good idea, and I'll consider it, for the 'tmp' files at least. It should probably have been done that way in the first place, instead of creating files with 'tmp' on the end at all.

Re: MYSQL Setup

There's only one step, fill in the details correctly that correspond to your MySQL server host, account and database. If you've done it correctly, then perhaps your server does not allow connections from other hosts.

Re: Current Conditions from VP2

The currentconditions.txt file is for you to set by whatever means, from a source external to Cumulus (or by typing it in yourself on the Cumulus main screen) - see the wiki for details.

What kind of "current conditions" are you looking for from your VP2?

Re: MX 3043 Issues

No idea, then - sorry (use of the MX user interface across the internet is not something I explicitly considered while wrting the code, because of the issue of the settings being exposed). Something is apparently stopping the web sockets protocol from working. If you can't get it working, you could ...

Re: MX 3043 Issues

Using DDNS loads the page and the clock ticks by, but I never get any data displayed. Both ports 8998 and 8002 are forwarded to the W10 PC running CumulusMX. As the OP found, this should be sufficient. Is it just the pages which use web sockets (dashboard/now/gauges) which don't work, or all of them?

Re: MX on MacOS 10.12.4 Sierra - Crash Report

Thank you; I'll have a look although, having the Davis WeatherlinkIP hardware, I'm not sure that I can. Yes, you do it using the WeatherlinkIP browser interface (I can't remember the details, it may just involve putting the address of your WeatherlinkIP into your browser - I can't remember whether ...

Re: Interface HTML/JS Puzzle

All you've done is caused the data to be made available as a javascript variable. You haven't added any javascript code to do anything with that data. In dashboard.js, there is this code: // Get the keys from the object and set // the element with the same id to the value Object.keys(data).forEach(f...

Re: MX on MacOS 10.12.4 Sierra - Crash Report

I believe you turn off uploads to weatherlink.com using the logger's browser interface. You then just need to set the periodic disconnect interval in MX to zero.
