Re: Met Office WOW not working

None of those errors are relevant = turn off the realtimegauges.txt setting to stop that error message.

I think it just takes a while for you to appear on the map. Did you restart MX after applying the WOW config?

Re: incorrect rain data

Looking at your web site, you appear to have (at least) two problems. Firstly, you have “days since it last rained” and “days since last dry day” the wrong way around. Looking at your dayfile data, which apart from putting you in San Sebastián, shows a lot of days missing, so you either didn’t have ...

Re: WiFiLogger for Davis stations

Yes, MX opens the connection when it starts up, and doesn’t close it until you close MX. There is the option to make it close the connection once a minute for a few seconds, and then re-open it, this is intended to allow a WLIP to upload to weatherlink.com. I don’t know what causes the connection to...

Re: WiFiLogger for Davis stations

MX has to first establish a TCP connection to the logger before it can begin exchanging data with it. It currently doesn’t allow for the possibility that the connection may no longer exist when it tries to send a command, and what happens then is that the system raises an exception, which MX doesn’t...

Re: WiFiLogger for Davis stations

John, yes, it’s something that could (and should) be handled. Regarding a fix in the timescale you mention, I would think that at some point in the next few months I will either find the time to do a few enhancements, or I will finally decide to make the source code available. I’m not sure I underst...

Re: Strange Trend Graph

It’s a bit difficult to tell from that thumbnail image, but it looks like it may be a problem with the data in dayfile.txt. There maybe error messages about this in the diags file, or it may be obvious from just looking at the file what the problem is. Check that the date formats are consistent, the...

Re: Possible issue inserting data into sql db

You could show your SQL settings, it may be easy for someone to spot. I may not be much help for a few days, I am away from home, typing this on my phone in a restaurant waiting for my food to arrive.

Re: Rain counter being reset

Cumulus is resetting it to the actual value supplied by the station. It can only work with the actual value supplied by the station, so if it has been reset by the station for some reason, you will have to accept that and let Cumulus handle it - it does its best to cope when the rain counter changes...

Re: Possible issue inserting data into sql db

It looks like the inserts shown are working OK, but you have a problem with your syntax for a different insert - probably a problem with your retention string.

Need a longer ftp log, that one only shows logging in, and all looks fine at that point.

Have you set your co-ordinates correctly? Are you really East of the meridian?

Re: PC format -> files now have a point interleaved. (jul.18log.txt). Help me!!!

You should be able to fix it by going into your Windows regional settings and changing the short date format.

Re: Communication problem or something more?

Looks like some kind of communication issue, data stops arriving from the console. That's all you can tell from the Cumulus log.

Re: FTP problem

It apparently can't connect to the server. There may be more information in the ftp log if you turn that on.

Re: Air Pressure on display console

You can't offset the 'absolute pressure', but you should set it to display 'relative pressure' which you can adjust to be correct for your location. Can't remember how you do that, but I'm pretty sure there's a FAQ about this which may contain or reference the instructions.
