Re: Error light problem

I'm assuming that you've actually looked at monthlyalltime.ini and seen that it is being written to (at least some of the time)? The fact that it's updating the records on screen and on the web doesn't mean that it's written to the file.

Re: Error light problem

It may be unable to write to the file only some of the time.

Re: Error light problem

I can't tell you any more than what you have quoted - another process apparently has the file open and so Cumulus cannot write to it. That process is most likely another program, but it could be another instance of Cumulus (perhaps you inadvertently have two instances running), or perhaps you have C...

Re: Incredibly Worrying - Code On Website Is Hacker Friendly

It's because you've got 'delete before upload' selected and the files don't exist on the server. The released code in MX stops if it can't delete the existing file. 'Delete before upload' is not a recommended setting anyway, it's only there for those rare (broken) ftp servers which won't overwrite e...

Re: Cumulus MX on Kubuntu ?

It should run on any Linux, so long as the pre-requisites described in the instructions are installed. As you don't have a USB station, you shouldn't need to worry about libudev0, which can sometimes be lacking in some distros.

Re: Consistent Daily Connection Exception

The Davis DLL that Cumulus 1 uses handles the connection, it presumably automatically reconnects when required. It is something I intend to look at adding to MX, at some point.

Re: Incredibly Worrying - Code On Website Is Hacker Friendly

One thought - one common thing that allows hackers in on shared hosting is having incorrect file permissions, which can in some circumstances allow other users (i.e.other 123-reg customers) on the same server to modify your files. Possibly some of the files or directories have permissions which are ...

Re: Incredibly Worrying - Code On Website Is Hacker Friendly

No idea, sorry. "the website has vulnerabilities in its code that were exploited by 3rd parties to hack the website" isn't very useful. Along with hundreds of other Cumulus users, I've been using the standard MX web site for a long time and never been hacked. Just lucky, I guess.

Re: Not uploading HTML files

Yes, it seems to be working now.

Flash is outdated technology now, and my original gauges are quite poor anyway. Mark's SteelSeries gauges are vastly better.

Re: Not uploading HTML files

The settings you have are sufficient. The gauges use the realtime.txt file which Cumulus uploads. But http://www.44085weather.com/cumulus/realtime.txt returns an empty result. You appear to be using free web hosting - quite often these do not allow .txt files, if the realtime.txt file is actually pr...

Re: Not uploading HTML files

It seems to be working in as much as the files are being uploaded successfully. At the end of the ftp log, it isn't attempting to change directory before starting the upload, so I assume you now have the ftp directory empty. You need to determine the correct path for the directory where you want the...

Re: "Cumulus Weather Data"

The problem is that your CUtags.php does not contain your data: http://apcat.org/CUtags.php?sce=view As for the cause, perhaps the CUtags file you are using for input to Cumulus is actually an output file, i.e, it contains real sample data from the Saratoga installation, or perhaps you have not conf...

Re: THSW logging and webtags

Yes, that would be possible, in a future build. My usual comment applies, though - I don't know when it would happen as I already have a long list of enhancements, and I don't spend anywhere near as much time on Cumulus these days as I used to.

Re: Not uploading HTML files

Now that you have active mode turned off, can you delete the ftplog.txt file, and then leave Cumulus until after another update attempt, and then zip up and attach the ftplog.txt file here, please?

Re: SQL set up parse error

I have only done this for one user, some time ago, but I think I need to create the database before you can do anything. If you send me a private message with your requirements, I'll set it up for you. I won't be able to do it until Monday, probably.
