Change to daylight saving hours

Well, perhaps trying not to chage to Summer time. My console is set to UTC only and hasn't changed but CMX has though. I looked to see if there was a setting but couldn't find one. I've probably missed it somewhere. How do I keep it on UTC? Keeping the PC it's running on isn't an option.

Re: Data input appears to have stoppe

Thanks David, I have done this and the data is now there. But the monthly file is now at 5minute intervals, rather than the previous 10 minute. I hope that won't cause issues! First time I've used this at it was very quick and easy!

Data input appears to have stoppe

Yesterday I noticed that there had been a break in the data - about 50 minutes of data was lost. Just looked in the diagnostic log and the title of this message was what was being stated. This lasted for about 50 minutes, with just the hour change processing interrupting this. No other error message...

Re: Change of IP address

Hmm, I posted a reply about resolving this but it's disappeared. Try again, Thanks water01, I had reasoned that that was the issue and corrected the IP address on the console, but with no joy. When I looked again, I saw that I has mistyped the IP address so I corrected it and all is now working :D ....

Change of IP address

Hi all, I had to change from wifi to Ethernet in a hurry as the wifi dongle decided to have a strop. I've started CMX but it's changed teh IP adress and using localhost I can see the display but nothing appears to be working (all zeroes). I've had a quick look at the settings, but I'm not sure what ...

Re: Error in dayfile

OK, I found another example of the problem after all, so I've changed the years to yy format - now no error and I can now see January's NOAA report, well its start anyway.
Thanks again Paul, you may not have found the error but you pointed me in the right direction.

Re: Error in dayfile

Thanks Paul, yes it's 2017 from my Fine Offset I had then. Interesting about the year format. I see that the dayfile's data for yesterday is formatted with yy, not yyyy, but the column heading says dd/mm/yyy, which is why I changed the years. I suspect it copes with both formats. I've looked at the ...

Error in dayfile

I'm trying to fix the dayfile and it keeps coming with an error but I can't see what's wrong. Attached is a file with the error line from the MXdiags and the line specified in the error - with the two lines before and after. I can't see why the line is wrong - can anyone see what I can't please? cmx...

Re: Missing data

Hi Gyvate, indeed a long reply and I will go through it at leisure BU is just the normal shorthand for backup, obviously not all understand it - I must be careful not to make assumptions. So it's the console backup. I've written plenty of VBA scripts to read data, process it in some way then output ...

Re: Missing data

Well thanks again to all who've contributed. What have I learnt? Don't blame CMX for Ecowitt's failings! However, there will always be occasions of missing data and it's clunky to manually fit the data in (especially as the columns are different). I use VBA quite a lot, used it at work before I reti...

Re: Missing data

Some prefer low cost, some other small size or low power need, some want the most powerful version to run all kinds of server applications on the same machine with CumulusMX. Therefore it is quite impossible to name the ”best” solution. PS. Merry Christmas for everyone! Thanks SamiS, I appreciate i...

Re: Missing data

OK, thanks. I will have to update the data manually. Is there something that says what the dayfile headers are as well as what the headers are for the 10 minute data (Dec21log.txt)? There was for C1, but I haven't found such for CMX. Perhaps I will have to dive into a Raspberry Pi, but which one is ...

Re: Missing data

Thanks Linda, but what you describe is very clunky in my view. If Cumulus 1 was shut down, when it was restarted it collected data from when it shut down. Does what you're saying mean the CMX just loses the data? I normally leave my PC running but thought I would shut down, because any computer is l...
