Re: Sorting dayfile and monthly log files
I would assume that you have got a csv file with a filetype .csv, if so just rename it to .txt - I think that would work.

Re: Custom Logs
I worked at Kew Observatory in the late 60s. We did weather observations every three hours between 06Z and 21Z inclusive. We also had a photo-thermograph in the famous North Wall Screen. When the photo was developed we could analyse it, recording hourly temperatures with these going on a blue form (...

Re: Separators in Custom Logs
At the risk of being pedantic (who, me?) I think you mean postpend rather than prepend. You've added the date to the end of the string. The pedantry is that you could have used append, which means/meant add at the end, but has drifted to mean just added. I've just Googled this and these are neologis...

Re: New Record? Post here.
Not quite as cold as you but I had -10.7°C, coldest ever since my records began in April 2016. This in Cholsey, South Oxfordshire.

Re: Relative and Absolute Air pressure
I'm quite close to RAF Benson, so I can compare my relative pressure with theirs. The relative (read Sea Level) pressures are about the same. the absolute (read station) pressures shouldn't match so well as we are at a different heights AMSL. I too notice that other stations on the Ecowitt web page ...

Re: Ecowitt HP2551 missing data
I've done some investigating. I kept the original data from before I used the backup. In the original monthly file, the counter is 1st May 00:00 154 2nd May 02:40 154.2 4th May 17:00 158.1 4th May 17:10 158.8 Note these times are BST The redone data is 1st May 00:00 154 5th May 13:50 158.8 Note thes...

Re: Ecowitt HP2551 missing data
I was beginning to think it was a problem with the yearly total. I still have the data from before I did the swap, I'll have a look at that and see what the difference is. And it has lost the rain on the previous day as well. I can always redo the catch again once I know what the problem is.

Re: Ecowitt HP2551 missing data
Hmm, I think I spoke too soon. Rainfall seems to have screwed up, as the only rain we've had for a while was yesterday, but it's appeared for today. As far as I can see it's the only parameter that's gone wrong as the others look OK. Any ideas? Attached is the log from the restart in case it helps.

Re: Ecowitt HP2551 missing data
OK, I have bit the bullet and changed the PC to UTC. I stopped CMX, made a backup copy of the current data folder (just in case), copied the relevant backup over, removed BST then restarted CMX. The missing data has been restored. At least now, we all know that the device that CMX getting HP2551 mis...

Re: Ecowitt HP2551 missing data
Thanks Mark, at least we know now. I will have to put my PC into UTC all year mode. I only use it as a webserver (local for just me, don't ask) and also CMX. I have OneDrive on it, with all files kept on it. I doubt that will cause an issue. I also copy all those OneDrive files outside OneDrive - pa...
