Re: Help - Windows 10 has murdered Cumulus.

My Windows 10 installation has been fine for years but I cannot update the website since the last update. Since late 2016 I often have to launch Cumulus a few times to get a stable connection - after 20 mins plus weather underground reports stopped, is my first clue. No I cannot even get my installa...

Man alive that was quick -- I have all the winscp working perfectly but I will def have a look and confirm when my host switches of plain FTP connections in the next few days.

Many thanks

Re: FTP port 21 encryption

All implemented using external WINSCP call but anyone help with supressing the DOS BOX? I tried calling with >NUL on the command (fails) and on the parm (no effect). EDIT: I created an .LNK file pointing at the .CMD file. Set it's attributes to run minimised and then told Cumulus to run this -- it w...

Re: FTP port 21 encryption

Thanks for this Steve - Explicit TLS is indeed what the hoster wants and I've converted all my other plain FTP to this using WINSCP. I would come over but have my email traffic and other stuff using the domain and bandwdith.. I'll have a look at the WINSCP wiki now -- http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/SF...

Re: FTP port 21 encryption

I've just found out my hosting company is about to stop all plain FTP. Will have to look at the Wiki but I would ask that consider some adjustment if all hosting companies are going to enforce this.

Thanks again

Re: 51.2c !!

Thanks for the advice. It's definitely an odd intermittent error as nothing has moved physically in the last few years and the batteries are replaced frequently to avoid disconnections. I have tried normal batteries instead of rechargeable too but no difference. It seems to be fairly stable at the m...

51.2c !!

I think my weather station is having a few glitches after over 5 years of service. Every now and again I get a reading showing 51.2c for the temp, and variations on numerous other readings. Usually it's just temp but think the pressure and wind have shown odds too (need to monitor those) http://grid...

Re: Can solar panels be used as a sunshine recorder?

I'm interested in this too. I use PVOUTPUT for the solar logging - http://pvoutput.org/list.jsp?sid=1627

Only issue for me would be i'm not south so lose daylight readings earlier than dusk.

Yay all fixed. I had a strange entry as 31/12/99 in between 14/07/12 and 15/07/12. Thx

Re: Weird Temp Spikes/Dips

Sorted. Not sure of the root cause as I changed the batteries cleaned and reconnected everything plus I reset the receiver.

Steve - Now I will have a look at the dayfile.txt. Thanks
