Re: Battery life
At the risk of jinxing myself, I have Eveready Blue lithium batteries in my Tx, and it has been going for 3.5years. Will update when they go flat. Just doing it now as had a question to post in another thread. I'm not on solar sensors, and in a temperate climate which may help.

Help with monthly rainfall calc incorrect
I missed a few days data due to a flat battery (not connected to USB permanently) and so it reloaded some old data, leading to spurious rainfall calc of 1400mm rate and 350mm in one day. I managed to correct it in the data for the month (23/05/13) and removed the old stuff. Now I am trying to correc...

Re: Um, Daylight savings?
Yeah, last yeah NZ extended DST by I think a week either end. Shouldn't happen too often though.
Apparently the farmers like it for some reason, maybe the cows know they have to come to the shed an hour earlier?
Glad I didn't start another dead thread..

Re: Um, Daylight savings?
Just a quick thought, I'm a total bumkin regarding software, but have you thought about somehow getting Cumulus to recognise its own stamp for each logging entry, and tying it somehow to a incremental measure coming out of the logger? I'm not sure which value, I don't actually think there might be a...

Um, Daylight savings?
Another in my growing list of silly questions, what happens when daylight savings rolls around? I always search before asking though  I understand Cumulus uses the PC clock, so my pc clock went forward an hour a week or two ago (we are going into summer). Does the pc clock operate some form of...

Re: Fine Offset WH-1081 Rain Sensor
Epic thread dredge, but just wanted to make a note of something. We have had a lot of rain and high winds lately, and it seems I have experienced our first inaccuracy due to wind affecting the rain readings. Looking outside and seeing our neighbours tv aerials, I noticed they were shaking due to the...

Re: Weird - Time seems to alter data loaded after a flat batter?
I tried to look for the lines of data in the start and end of the inserted period (assume 14/09 to 16/10) but I can't find the same temp, humidity, pressure, wind direction all in the same line with the same figures for the log files for July, August or September. The data is set to 7 minutes, so would...

Re: Weird - Time seems to alter data loaded after a flat batter?
Oh, I see, so it just back filled the data with that from when it wasn't running, up to the poinjt that it had already loaded, which I assume was the 14th? Weird, as the screen definately was still running over the last few days, I saw the low of 6 odd degrees on the night of the 15th myself, hence ...

Weird - Time seems to alter data loaded after a flat batter?
Hi there, I left this mrning for work after checking the weather on my station, so I know it was running about 8am. I got home and the batteries were flat on the receiver/screen, so I quickly plugged it into the pc, and it loaded the data. I had to reset the clock on the screen. It was on 12 hours, ...

Re: Pressure question on FineOffset WH-1091
The tendency on the actual unit can be frustrating. I use mine seperate from the computer the majority of the time (98% I reckon), so it would be interesting to me if it was accurate. Problem is in NZ the weather is so changeable, it can be sunny, rainey, cloudy all in one day, without great pressur...

Re: Battery life
Just checked your graphs Terry, the wind speed graph showed when you changed the batteries I think. The temp graphs look quite consistent before and after however, so I wouldn't have picked it as the batteries? Not like my temp graph (with no screen) which can rase and fall roughly 3 degrees dependi...
