It will change the scale to accommodate your highest reading of the day.

The 2nd also had higher wind speeds for me, as well as the large wind run.

Looks like your going to top out 55 Ray, I'm at 45 mph. Most disappointing, I was hoping for a gust strong enough to bring down our neighbours massive eucalyptus tree

Re: Solar gauge legend -aka 'what do the coloured wedges mean'

I may have 'customised' my guage a little. First sector on mine is from 'Sun shine' threshold to current theoretical max. So if you are in this area the light should be on and your software recording 'sunshine hours'. Second sector on mine (may not be present on yours?) is from theoretical max to ma...

Re: index.php?

If you want to use index.php, then you will have to disable the Cumulus automatic web page processing and list all the files individually - you can call them whatever you want then.

Re: Cumulus startup anomalies on my suspect hardware

Looking in my MX diags files, I do see "loop data not received" messages after the time is set, implying the console may be busy doing 'stuff' after the time is set. It doesn't trigger a resync on my station though. If anything I suspect Cumulus queries the station less at midnight than ot...

Re: Cumulus startup anomalies on my suspect hardware

The stats get reset by the console after midnight, but they also get reset whenever the time is set via the serial link. Cumulus does this on startup, and in the early hours - configurable via the ini file iirc. I don't have any problems with the reception stopping in cumulus connect. As Steve said ...

Not that I am aware of, I schedule a script to run at 00:10 to backup various files to an FTP server.

They haven't fixed the graph, but they have awarded the 2016 gold stars - I must have missed the invite to the ceremony.

Re: Customiced webtags

There are the <#currcond> and <#currcondenc> tags that are read from the currentconditions.txt - if you aren't already using that tag. But as Steve said, the most flexible thing to do is put the data on the web site yourself - or get Cumulus to do it via a script called using the external programs f...

Re: Strange disturbans

I think using calibration is a bad idea. Another problem you may find is that the transmitter battery starts to go flat much sooner than normal. The transmitter normally stops reading the solar and UV sensors once it goes dark to conserve power whilst the solar panel is not working. It only reads th...

Re: 2nd Anemometer Failing

It does sound like the direction pot may have failed. Like Alan I find it a surprising solution. Pots can get 'noisy' with wear and contamination, and these are being put in quite a harsh environment, but I guess it's cheap solution. If the sliding contacts fail to do their job on any section, then ...

Re: Strange disturbans

That does not look right, the solar reading should be zero until around sun rise, you have a reading of 160ish all night. Is the console reading the same? If so check your connections. If they are OK then you may have some faulty hardware. The yellow indicator on the gauge lights up when the sunshin...
