That's a great offer
I'm self-hosting on a rPi for now, a fixed IP makes that easy, things may change in the future of course.

Re: WeatherCloud ERROR HttpClient.Timeout of 15 seconds elapsing. Inner Exception.
It's normal, the upload has timed out for some reason, probably their server a little busy at that point, or... who knows.
I have tidied up the error messages for timeouts in the next release.

Re: V4 b4022 - HTTPS Error
This is a different error. The remote server is not able to decrypt the message MX has sent, a bit of googling shows this is normally because the remote server needs an update to support the latest secure certificate exchange mechanisms.

Re: Suggestion: add Local Copy option to Extra Webfiles
I'm wondering how this would work. So, in addition to the existing copy function (ie Upload not ticked), you're suggesting that if the local copy option is enabled, then items with Upload ticked should also copy. In that case should the remote path for those items be taken as relative to the local c...

Re: Gmail Question
Ah, I missed the bit about app passwords remaining active. As you were then! You already have to use app passwords with Gmail and MX.

Gmail Question
Google are removing the ability for third party apps to send emails via Gmail using simple username/password authentication this year. There are two solutions to this: Use the Gmail client authentication via an interactive browser login Use a totally background authentication mechanism, but this req...

Re: WXSIM
The Ecowitt does not use a UV sensor, it doesn't even have a proper solar sensor. It has a lux sensor which is converted in software to solar (reasonably ok), but then just divides the lux the by a constant number to guess the UV. A real UV sensor would add significantly to the price. I believe they...

Version 4.0 Known Issues
The following issues have been identified and will be resolved in future releases The spike removal for outdoor temperature is not working correctly. A workaround is to set your temperature spike value to 999 The Davis Cloud Station (VP2), is often not decoding the dew point correctly, and the indoo...

And the answer is.... It decodes it perfectly and uses the dew point! I have no idea at this point why it isn't on your new install.

Re: CMX v4 b4022 with Davis Weatherlink Cloud (VP2)
OK, that is truly weird Paul. I double checked the code, and there were zero changes to how MX reads the dew point between 4021 and 4022!

Re: Version 4.0 b4022 More info
Hence, change 9 below to 999 before the upgrade should do the trick But I do find it a bit strange that actions like this is needed when upgrading from RC b4021 to 4022 It's a problem in my spike handling "improvements", normally if the previous value is 999 the spike difference will be i...
