Re: Mulch as ground cover under weather station?

I'm no expert, but i would think that would be fine. The temperature sensor is supposed to be at 6 feet, but the rain lower, not much you can do with the standard Davis setup, I'd try and get the temperature sensor at the correct height as the rain gauge is comprised already by the trees (supposed t...

Re: Using CumulusMX localhost webpage as website online

Greetings, I have switched to the MX version of Cumulus after changing my weather station earlier this year and I find the current dials presentation in the Dashboard to be somewhat less visually appealing compared to the 'home' web page which was generated by the old version of Cumulus. Additional...

Certainly sounds like it! ;)

I'd copy the contents of the "interface" folder in CMX zip over the contents of the on your pi as a starter.

I think the page is just being cached on your mobile device - try clearing the data for your site and trying again.

Re: Problems with Culumus displaying forcast

As Steve said, you don't need to remove the batteries to clear the console memory - the memory never needs clearing unless something goes wrong with the station. From what I have seen these Fine Offset station consoles seem to go wrong most often when they are power cycled, the usual victim being th...

Re: Checking your site

It's an expected result - my blocker software 'bans' lots servers from accessing the site, it is amazing what a great platform AWS has become for hackers for instance, hence no access from any AWS based server is allowed.

Re: Davis VP2 Relay Device

Hmm, fag packet calculation, at mid-summer for 54.5N, refraction extends the day approximately 22 mins, the azimuth angle by ~ 5.5 degrees (11 minutes, and 2.25 degrees at both sunrise and sunset). Is that enough I wonder?

Re: Davis VP2 Relay Device

Looking at the photo below, wouldn't I be better off mounting the sensors on the north side of the mast? Nope! Then the sensor would be shaded every day! As you have your sensors side-by-side they will have to further out than if they were inline with the mast. This very poor sketch shows where the...

I probably just got distracted and forgot to update the Wiki page!

Let me know if it works - I don't use that script any longer since switching to MX.

I added "Rain Days" to my version a little while back - maybe something someone wants to incorporate into the official release?
