Re: Cumulus Realtime.txt Dashboard Template

AFAIK only two counties still use Imperial in the strict sense - Liberia and Myanmar - the USA uses Customary units, like Imperial but a little bit different to be even more awkward

Re: Need to identify web template in use

The code is definitely the SS gauges, but the source has been encoded. The file https://www.ryegolfclub.co.uk/files/478/_ftp_/gauges/script.js has encoded at least the following files into a single file, which it dynamically decodes on page load: gauges.js, steelseries.js, tween.js, language.js Even...

Re: Need to identify web template in use

gauges.js is supplied in an un-minimised form, and the AJAX call uses a relative URL by default so should "just work" when changing from HTTP to HTTPS. It sounds like your client has modified the file and minimised it

Re: Yet Another Dayfile Reader (PHP)

In my version of the script I have... $alltime = array(1 => [], 2 => [], 3 => [], 4 => [], 6 => [], 7 => [], 8 => [], 9 => [], 10 => [], 11 => [], 12 => []); Since each month will be an array of values, but note that syntax will not work pre PHP 5.4. And it is a rather wonderful combination of both ...

Re: solar radiation sensor

I made a serviceable one using a photo diode, and a UV sensor with a Reyax UVI-01. Unfortunately I lost the final cct diagrams, but a friend has replicated them successfully. Best to have some electronics experience before attempting this. As Alan says, the electronics is half of it, the other chall...

Re: Raspberry Pi: Long term reliability

I ditched the SD card and added a cheap 128GB USB attached SSD drive. The capacity is overkill, but like an SD card, the bigger the better for reliability as the internal wear leveling has more locations to spread the writes over. I have also redirected all the temporary files to an in memory disk -...

Re: Sunshine Recorder

Yep, it's TZ tables missing in MySQL, Tina can tell you all about getting those tables populated ;)

You could try setting your TZ to '-4:00' (think that is correct at the mo?) to test the script works. But ideally you need to get MySQL configured.

Re: Sunshine Recorder

Hi Paul, in on my phone at the mo, I'll take a look tomorrow. But it sounds like the time zone tables have not been populated in MySQL, you could try using an hour offset instead of a tz name, but you would then have to change it every daylight saving change.

Re: The handshake failed due to un unexpected packet format

Yes, TLS 1.0 has been considered insecure for some time now. All sites should really be using 1.2.

Re: How come?

Hmm, I don't have the exact location, but according to WU, not that rural afai can see, in a suburban estate with a car park not too far away? Certainly not open fields.

Re: How come?

I'd agree microclient. the "official" stations tend to be in open grassy areas (airfields, or rural), whereas UK amateur stations are usually suburban or semi-suburban

Re: Accessing my C MX weather via WAN/internet

To access the MX console pages remotely and display data you will also have to allow the web sockets port through your router.

It's still a bad idea to do this though.

Re: importcumulusfile.php Failed to bind the SQL parameters!

Could you try version 2.8 please. Version 3 seems to be causing issues for a few people and I haven't gotten to the bottom of it yet (no time!).
