Re: Jump in Number of Mono Threads

My pi is also running my database (MariaDB) and web server (nginx) hosting my two web sites: weather and astro. The weather data is updated every 5 seconds so I'd expect the CPU usage to be fairly high. I'm surprised the pi copes as well as it does.

Re: Jump in Number of Mono Threads

I've update my status page to now update the Cumulus stats every 6 seconds or so - the page will not work properly with IE/Edge/Opera Mini now, but all other browsers should be OK.

Re: Cumulus 1.9.4 protocol

Have a search of the forum, this has come up before - and been done before, see weather arduino etc.

The FO data is from the reading of memory locations over USB. You'd be better looking at the Davis serial protocol which is well documented by the manufacturer.

Re: Mine’s Bigger than Yours

More a case of "smaller than yours", I just noticed that the 5th December I had a 24 hour temperature range of just 1.0°C, my second lowest ever beaten on the 19th Jan this year at 0.9°C

Code: Select all

Smallest Daily Range
0.9   2017-01-19
1.0   2017-12-05
1.1   2014-11-11

Re: Cumulus Realtime.txt Dashboard Template

I follow the convention 0=clam, 360=North and Cumulus will report it like this as that is what I have configured.
I guess if the template just picks up what Cumulus reports everyone will be happy as it will reflect their personal setting?

Re: Connected To Station - No Data?

The com port setting will be different - assuming you don't have an ip logger.
Are your locale settings identical between systems?

Re: SteelSeries Announcements

And in my usual tardy manner - version 2.6.4 is available.
No functional changes from 2.6.3, but it does move JQuery on to the current version and makes all internal html links HTTP/HTTPS agnostic (guess who just implemented SSL on their Raspberry Pi?)

Re: Trend Indicator on Humidity Gauge

You'd first have to calculate what the trend was, Cumulus provides the trend for temperature but not for humidity. You'll therefore have to devise a method of determining it yourself.

Once you have that, then add it to the JSON file, and copy the code in the temperature gauge for display the value.

Re: Jump in Number of Mono Threads

Yeah, I always use the lite builds, they are a lot cleaner, though there still lots of packages that need removing. mpstat and pidstat are both part of the sysstat package. The /proc CPU info is mainly about "load" rather than percentage use, as is the info from ps. I'm more accustomed to ...

Try the wind in the rain socket briefly - that should record lots of tips if it is spinning!

Re: Help configuration Gauges page

1) For the pop-ups there are two settings in gauges.js lines 50 & 51 showPopupData : true, // Pop-up data displayed showPopupGraphs : true, // If pop-up data is displayed, show the graphs? 2) Again gauges.js starting line 87 gaugeGlobals = { A whole load of settings.

Re: Rain Gauge Failing

I had to replace the reed switch in mine - luckily I had a couple lying around in old burglar alarm contact switches.
