Re: Setting up one of the android apps?

So, assuming one does NOT have their own www site are there any recommended android apps?

Apple app store has one called PWS Monitor that seems pretty good. Played with it a little on my work issued iphone.

Thanks

Setting up one of the android apps?

This is probably a very basic and dumb question. In order to use one of the apps such as Pocket PWS, Home Weather Station Cumulus, or weather station for cumulus, do i have to have my OWN website which is "broadcasting" my cumulus data? The apps ask for XML URL file. What exactly is that? ...

Re: Temp and Rainfaill numbers are waaaay off.

My plan will be to install to the default location. Depending on which version you install, the default which it offers may not be the best option for Windows 7. You should install outside Program Files (1.9.1 should offer C:\Cumulus as the default). Steve, how close is version 1.91 to being "...

Re: Temp and Rainfaill numbers are waaaay off.

I am little fearful to install the newest version, as I had some trouble getting the web page up and running last year. Nonetheless I will try again. I think I am going to wipe all my old data (I don't really need/want it) and start fresh. My plan will be to install to the default location. Steve, h...

Temp and Rainfaill numbers are waaaay off.

I had Cumulus installed early in 2010 and after some tinkering it was working great. I moved to a different residence in May 2010. Finally today I had time to reinstall my VP2. Anyhow, I hooked the console up to my computer and started Cumulus. I am running 1.8.8 build 881. Everything seems to be wo...

Low battery in VP2 station

My VP2 station has a low battery. What is the proper procedure for replacing it when running Cumulus?

Re: Internet connection down -what happens to data?

My net connection went down for a period of time. Probably a few hours. As such Cumulus couldnt update my www page. Does Cumulus store the data for those few hours then send it when the connection is back up? If you're talking about the HTML web pages supplied with Cumulus, there isn't really a con...

Internet connection down -what happens to data?

My net connection went down for a period of time. Probably a few hours. As such Cumulus couldnt update my www page. Does Cumulus store the data for those few hours then send it when the connection is back up? Similarly, if my computer (running cumulus) is off or if cumulus was shutdown, does cumulus...

Rainfall Total question

I set up Cumulus around January 17, 2010. In the initial settings I put in .46 inches rain to date. We have had some rain since the 17th. The "rainfall this year" is accurate. However, the "rainfall this month" is short by .46. Is this because Cumulus doesnt recognize that Januar...

Re: What did I do wrong (no background and other problems)?

One more question (for now). It shows "J and S Ranch weather" How do I get the "W" in Weather capitalized? The word 'weather' is hard-coded into the web templates (indexT.htm etc) so you need to edit those. In case you haven't seen any warnings about this yet - the web templates...

Re: What did I do wrong (no background and other problems)?

beteljuice, you were correct. Apparently when I first uploaded (FTP) the files, I uploaded them to www.jandsranch.com I wanted to FTP the files to www.jandsranch.com/localwx I landed up uploading the files to both locations, not realizing the www.jandsranch.com was also showing cumulus. So after I e...

Re: What did I do wrong (no background and other problems)?

I thought I was supposed to delete every line where the word "lowercase" was located? @charset "UTF-8"; body { background-color: #FFFFFF; font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; color: #585858; text-align: left; background-attachment: fixed; background-image...

Re: What did I do wrong (no background and other problems)?

OK, got the graphics going. I am still having a hard time with the capital letters for the title? I went through the file named "weatherstyle" Using notepad, I deleted every line (I think) that had the word "lowercase" in it. I did a ctrl-F for the word lowercase and came up empt...

Re: What did I do wrong (no background and other problems)?

I thought I created the images file and then moved in the correct files. I will have to go back and figure out what I did. Like I said I am pretty clueless on this stuff. I am going to try and fix the caps issue. Can anyone recommend a good www site that explains www site creation, editing, etc that...
