Re: Rain recording without raining
A good look at the RJ45 connector is worth while, they ofter have corrosion on them and that leads to intermittent readings. I've just got back from doing my wind connector it has been stopping on north for hours at a time then just start working again. It's fixed at the moment having cleaned them b...

"More than 2 years"? I'm lucky if I get 13 months from mine. I change them every October so that it has got a new set when the weather gets cold.

Re: Previous month rainfall and temp not updating
Good morning
FIXED IT
Grand order of the digit trouble! When I restarted the laptop after it's crash I had to set the bios again including the date. I made an error and put in 2017: that is all it was. Lesson learned!

Re: Previous month rainfall and temp not updating
Hello Steve
Thanks for the swift response, the midnight rollover and update of the months rainfall and temp highs and lows all seem to be working normally. It is just the two graphs that are not updating as per the attached screen dumps.

Previous month rainfall and temp not updating
Has anybody else had this problem and if so how did you fix it please? On the 2nd of April a power failure on my remote weather station (3 miles from home ) caused the laptop batteries to discharge and the laptop to shut down without shutting down Cumulus. This has happened twice before and on resto...

You need to check the system or the box it came in if you still have it. My orignal one from Maplin was a 433Mhz but the new one I have just bought is 868Mhz. The wind and rain sensors are the same though.

Re: Pressure varations with temperature
I have good news and bad news. First the good news; my weather station is now back up and running and showing the correct data. :D Now the bad news  I have got nowhere in my search for a pressure/temperature sensor. So I have bought a new system from the UK weather store on ebay ( item number 1...

Re: Pressure varations with temperature
Just a quick update. It is the pressure/temperature sensor that is faulty, I removed the covers and applied a little heat from a hair drier the pressure reading immediately changed. One of the soldered joints looked a little dry so I resoldered them all but to no effect. The sensor looks like a HP01...

Thanks for the quick reply, I was hoping you weren't going to say that I will check on Saturday when I am next in the field and report back.

Pressure varations with temperature
Hi to all I have now moved my weather station ( maplin ) to the middle of a field, the base station and a dell laptop are now located in a very well ventilated barn. During the recent days of nearly steady pressure it has become apparent that the inside temperature and the pressure graphs look very ...

Re: Photos of the insides of Fine Offset sensors.
Hi to one and all About a month ago I relocated my system to the middle of a field where I fly from. I took the opportunity to do some tests on the wind vane. I measured the resistance on the output and slowly moved the vane round the full 360 deg. It never switched on two of the reed switches at on...

Re: Photos of the insides of Fine Offset sensors.
Too late! it's already back on it's pole.
I did look at a better fixing method but there is very little to drill and tap a thread into and as it was a tight fit I decided to add a small drop of super glue and push it on.
