Re: Humidity Readings On My WH1081

Thanks for the info on the WH3081(3) :-) I think perhaps I might just stick with my trusty 1081 for now then... apart from the humidity readings it works faultlessly. Will get the transmitter down and check it out for moisture when I get a chance but in the meantime I will try and source a replaceme...

Humidity Readings On My WH1081

I have a WH1081 and I have a problem with the outside humidity readings. For most of the time it is reading 99% humidity then as the day progresses the readings will drop. Yesterday for instance as the outside temperature rose to around 18°C at 0900hrs so the humidity dropped right through until aro...

Re: Connecting a WH3080 Wirelessly to a Desktop PC

I have a WH1081 connected to my PC using a USB to RJ45 extender cable I bought from eBay for a few pounds. My Console is in another room from my PC due to not picking up the transmitter unit through the 18" thick stone walls of my 150 year old house. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB-To-RJ45-Extend...

Re: usb to rj45 extender extention adapter

I have been using USB to RJ45 range extender cable successfully for the last 12 months to extend my N96GY station from another room to my laptop in the lounge. Our house is 150 years old and has 18" thick solid stone walls which kept causing the WiFi link to drop out all the time. Using the ext...

Re: Clas Ohlson

I just bought a Clas Ohlson setup, just before the cutoff date of the discount. I bought it mainly for two reasons, one so I could have a second receiver in my shed with all my computers and secondly as a source of spare parts for the transmitters etc. I have a spare Maplin N96GY receiver (433.9Mhz)...

Re: N96GY / WH1080 not talking to Cumulus...?

Tried that, no luck there, even tried new batteries and different USB cable just incase it was that. Left if for a few hours and tried it again, all to no avail. Only thing left I haven't tried is kicking it up and down the garden path... might try that after a cup of tea..! :-/

Re: N96GY / WH1080 not talking to Cumulus...?

Thanks for a speedy reply Steve, so it looks like the unit is faulty..? As you said, when I checked the Easyweather software it had not downloaded any data, it was just displaying data and not logging any. So it looks like it will need to be returned and replaced. Bugger :-(

N96GY / WH1080 not talking to Cumulus...?

I have recently replaced the temp/humidity transmitter of my N96GY unit with a new one. This one was on a different frequency to the original, so I bought a replacement console which is 868.3Mhz as opposed to 433.9Mhz that was the original console. It then connected to the sensor unit fine. Now the ...
