Re: Importing data from other software
As you see here: http://www.casacota.cat/teranyina?num=1327587587 the Cumulus software is running since 13 Januar 2012, but on the records page can data be seen from 2005 onwards (the imported files). Also, Cumulus can generate graphs for every period inside the imported data, so it is very useful. ...

Mark, thank you for the follow up - I am trying to learn a bit more every days... :mrgreen: ...but then of course you miss out on all those nice Davis forecast messages. Mark, you cannot do that... :D What I would prefer is a way to import an external text string into the gauges script - in my case...

Re: What screen resolution does your Cumulus PC use?
"Other": 1024 X 600.
In fact Cumulus runs minimized on a headless server (web+mail+weather programms - http://www.casacota.cat) but I connect to it via RDP with an Asus EEEPC with that resolution.

Re: Importing data from other software
It seems that the 18º bearing does not affect data. If someone will give a try, here are the utilities: http://www.casacota.cat/teranyina?num=1327284267 Please make backups before you try, or try on a copy. On my system has well worked, but some things are OS and language dependent so try first with...

Importing data from other software
Hello, I'm writing a script to generate logfiles in Cumulus format in order to import data via "generate missing dayfile". It seems to work correctly, but creating the missing days gives always High Gust Bearing = 18º. After some time searching for the cause, I realized that this 18º beari...

Re: SteelSeries Gauges - version 1.0
I suspect Cumulus does not UTF-8 encode the files when it processes the realtimeGaugesT.txt which causes the problems with the forecast strings It just uses "traditional" Pascal I/O functions to write the file, it doesn't take any special action for UTF-8, and in any case I don't know how...

Just installed, updated, works great: http://www.casacota.cat/cumulus/gauges-ss.htm Thanks! PD: added a partial Catalan translation in languages.js PS2: added wetbulb calculation and option in the "dew" gauge. It's done in gauges.js, and needs small changes in gauges-ssT.htm and languages.js

Re: Why di you move to Cumulous from WD?
With several weather stations running at different places since many years I have seen several programs, so many that I don't remember all, Weather-Display was one from them. I run since several years Virtual Weather Station (v12, an old version), Weatherlink and now also Cumulus. Each of those prog...

Re: Ajax Gauge for Cumulus Realtime
Looks very good indeed, one quick question/note the rain, it goes up to a maximum of 1000mm, so far this year, locally has been over 1000mm, but its not reflected on the guage? Ah, I've adjusted it for my local values, but you can modify the code to change this. In the xml file search for this: <Ga...

Re: Ajax Gauge for Cumulus Realtime
that's a very comprehensive gauge :) Well done Here it is using my site data... http://www.grantownweather.co.uk/g2/realtime_english.htm I did not modify anything so it is using a genuine realtime.txt file. I think the only thing I would need to change is the wind speed as it is showing in km/hr wh...
