finally got to the bottom of it
the issue was not in the actual text file but within the programs dayfile data found duplicate entrys not sure why the were not coming up in the text file though
hopefully this has now resolved the problem and i can claim to be not be confused anymore !!

I have now gone back to a previously saved copy of dayfile.txt recreated the missing entrys using cumulus day file editor and all the blank entrys have gone. i have re-run the patched version which has not come up with errors. im still confused but just goes to show backups are invaluable potentuall...

that makes two of us cant work it out the data goes back for years so my assumtion is the blank fields are normal but since the first run of the noaa patch they seem to have vanished. i cant see any duplicate entrys so i am at a loss as to why they are being reported as soon as i copy the original d...

this is the dayfile.txt strange it only suggests an error when you install the patched version the original cumulus 1 does not although they are both using the same file the error is for the when the patch is run for the first time it seems to download an awful lot of data then process it which agai...

i have searched but cant find any reference to my small issue when i run the patched version it says there are errors in my dayfile text when i revert back to the original the errors dont appear i have checked the log and can not see any duplicate errors as suggested any ideas would be appreciated t...

will Cumulus run in windows 10 I am already sceptical about the Free upgrade being offered by Microsoft (very little from microsoft seems to be actually free) but the clincher would be losing Cumulus I would certainly decline the upgrade

i have not put any values into the wind spike removal it might be an idea though I do get high winds here as i am right on the coast so i will need to be a little carefull with the values time to get the calculator out and come up with some sensible figures The strange bit was the rainfall registere...

Has anybody else suffered massive spikes in wind speeds I found a gust and wind speed spike in excess of 120 mph also a rain measurement of 2.4 mm at about 04:00 this morning now i suspect some of the house roof would have disappeared if it was a true reading. the readings from the station returned ...

I work in the water industry part of my departments responsibility is drought management the rainfall figures were interesting given last winter/springs lack of precipitation but if you trend the data i found that its quite cyclic over years. its all quite fascinating when you start looking at the f...

its quite interesting looking at the annual averages i found all the met office data going back to the 1930`s but decided to use it from 1961 to 2009 which is when i started my own records its quite a lot of work but i think it was worth doing my reports are here http://www.thanetweather.co.uk/weath...
