Great, thanks Paul. I hadn't looked into the Internet settings until now, so was unaware of that facility.
Cheers!

Re: Solar block hide
I found moon.png in the webfiles folder, but it seems it won't update without running a website?

Re: Solar block hide
I don't have a website these days so only rely on the dashboard. I miss the lunar image that Cumulus 1 provided, and not having any solar data from my ancient Fine Offset station, the solar block was an irritation. It was easy to replace the solar block in index.html with one that displays a lunar p...

Re: WH1080 not detecting rain
When I was having similar problems and wanted to check that the bucket tips were detectable at the transmitter, I used an RJ11 telephone extension cable (plug cut off and wires bared) and a multimeter with continuity testing capability. So swapping the rain cable from the transmitter to the RJ11 soc...

Editing High 24h rain records in b3202
My all time records are showing a crazy value of over 9000mm of rain for a 24 hour period, but the editor will not allow any change to it. No other field has that problem. Same applies when I try to edit the error in Monthly Records or This Year's Records. There is no rogue rainfall showing for the ...

Re: Aercus WS1093
I've got an old WH1091 no longer in use, so I took the back off and found a relay, which does click when plugging to USB power.
So it seems there was no consistant method of adapting to external power in these old FO stations.

Re: Tonga Eruption
Being relatively close to the eruption (2052km according to Goggle Earth) we had a very sharp pressure spike but no noticeable secondary one. The interval was 123 minutes, which relates to a propagation speed of 1001 km/hr - quite a bit lower than the speed of sound. My wife heard a series of 7 expl...

Re: Reflection-proofing a VP2 wind vane
Primer for plastic is available in spray cans (in this part of the world anyway) which provides a secure base coat for a matte top coat.

Re: Customising the local dashboard
I was able to get the dashboard in Windows to show the current moon image just by making a batch file to copy moon.png between folders and then using Windows Task Scheduler to run the bat file every hour. All that is needed now is a page refresh from time to time.
All good, thanks!

Re: Customising the local dashboard
I was happy to see AndyK’s customised dashboard showing the moon phases (missed that since Cumulus 1) so i thought I’d try his new index.html along with the newgrid.css. Unfortunately my installation does not find moon.png (located in the web folder under CumulusMX) while index.html is installed in ...

Thanks Mark, that put me on the right track.
I replaced the default font in Firefox to one with mono as suffix and it all fell into line
