Re: WS2350 help

Hi, thanks for reply. Yes, I have it hard wired. Solved the problem by purchasing a RJ12 testing kit for a couple of quid and found that one of the cables was faulty. Replaced that and it all works again now.

WS2350 help

Hi all, Not a question about Cumulus but I thought I might be able to tap into someones knowledge or experience as you are reading the La Crosse section of this forum. I have a Ws2350 model which has been in operation since the end of 2008 and over that time I have replaced the wind and rain sensor ...

Re: Windows 8.1 & WS2300 weather station

Hi Steve and thank you for your posting. You're also right in that the de-bug didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know. After trying lots of things I may now have solved it by simply moving the serial card from one slot to another one. Been running without the problem for 12+ hour stints...

Windows 8.1 & WS2300 weather station

Was running Cumulus on Windows Vista without any problems until motherboard fried and bought a new PC with windows 8.1 installed. Bought a new serial card for the PC and plugged that in and all working fine with Cumulus...

Re: Days it hasn't rained - for all years

however there appears to be an issue with the 'gauges' Thanks Paul - I noticed that the other week. I have removed this page from the website as I can't get them working again at the moment but will add them back on again when I get a chance. I have added some more information to my new page though...

Re: Days it hasn't rained - for all years

This returned no rows so I amended the code slightly to the following: SELECT month(logdate) as month, day(logdate) as day, totrainfall, count(totrainfall) as ct FROM dayfile WHERE TotRainFall = 0 group by month, day order by ct DESC, month, day and this gave me those dates on which no rainfall had ...

Re: Days it hasn't rained - for all years

SELECT month(logdate) as month, day(logdate) as day, year(logdate) as year, totrainfall FROM dayfile WHERE TotRainFall = 0 order by month, day, year Thank you Kerry, this is the closest to the final result I am looking for. This gives me all the days, since my records began, that it has not rained ...

Re: Days it hasn't rained - for all years

Sorry, I think I may have confused the issue with my last post. What I am trying to do list those days where I have not recorded any rainfall since my records began (2009). So, for example, if it did not rain on 1st September 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 then show that date. However, if it had ra...

Re: Days it hasn't rained - for all years

Thanks Mark - that looks to be on the right line. However, I am trying to create a page on my site that would list all the days throughout the year that have had no rain fall (perhaps trying to run before I could walk) and was trying to go through the whole dayfile and pick out every day that this e...

Days it hasn't rained - for all years

Hi all, Back again for some help and guidance (hopefully) I am trying to work out how to return dates from a MySQL database which holds the dayfile on which (for example) it hasn't rained. i.e I have records going back to 2009 and I know that I have never recorded rainfall on 1st September for all y...

Re: Consecutive wet & dry days

I'm not following the SQL discussion, but presumably this would all be much easier if Cumulus logged the current wet and dry spell figures to dayfile.txt? Yes Steve, it probably would. If it's possible then I suppose see whether there is anyone else who thinks it would be useful and go with the maj...
