Error in Dayfile
I got an error in Cumulus, which said to reset the station. I closed Cumulus and disconnected/reconnected the usb cord on my Davis Weatherstation. Although it started taking data again, the rain is too high by 0.42 inches. I read the dayfile and found 0.42 inches added on October 29, but also notice...

Re: How to do a data reset after beta install
Now, before I move into the next year, I need to know what will happen when the 'new' October occurs. That will be the 13th month, and I want to know if anything from October 2010 will be 'lost' as the October 2011 begins. Or will there be two October entries? Sorry, I don't understand. Two October...

Re: How to do a data reset after beta install
It seems like Cumulus should be able to recalculate things like this It can. Use the high/low editors to retrieve the values from dayfile.txt and/or the monthly logs. Wow! That's like an easter egg. Everything is fixed up, finally. Now, before I move into the next year, I need to know what wi...

Re: Install request

Re: How to do a data reset after beta install
You can't download a year's worth of data from your station. The most you could back would be about 213 days, and even that would require you to have set your station logger to an interval of two hours. This is why you're only seeing data back as far as August if you delete the Cumulus logs and sta...

Re: How to do a data reset after beta install
As the end of this rain year approaches (end of September), I decided to redownload all the data from the vantage pro 2 so as to populate fields that were either empty or wrong due to the several updates throughout the last year. I followed the instructions below, but got wildly different results th...

Beta webtag source
As webtags are added, is there a place where the entire functioning list, including beta webtags can always be downloaded? I've found some updates, but I never know if I have the latest, all caught up with the latest beta. Would it be possible to package the latest webtags file with the install, in ...

Install request
Steve, When I install a beta version, I always (well, almost always) uncheck the html download box, so I don't overwrite my custom versions of web files. However, when I uncheck it, the dialog that shows is a bit confusing, and I always stop and wonder if I'm doing the right thing. Could you clarify...

Correct longest dry spell data
After updating to the 1009 beta version, I notice that the longest dry spell record is reset every day. However, it is only the number of days since the installation, not from the last time it rained. I'm always a little reluctant to edit the data files, but I would appreciate knowing how to go abou...

Re: Problems with web page updates
That's not clear to me. It is processing all 10 files that are listed and they go to the server. I removed trends, and it now doesn't update. So, the ftp IS listed correctly, or the 10 files that ARE processed wouldn't get there, would they? When you list an 'extra' file, you have to specify the fu...

Re: Problems with web page updates
I have 'Include Standard Files' checked, which I assumed to mean it would process the standard html files without them being explicitly entered in the Files section. Apparently, that is not correct. That's correct - it's the default configuration. If it's not working, then perhaps you have entered ...

Problems with web page updates
Steve, I added the thismonth and thisyear web pages to those I already used, including one that I created. All of my web pages are custom, but use the standard names except my separate page. I added the two pages to the Files section of the Internet Settings, which required me to remove the trendsT ...

Re: Web page version update not working
When you installed the latest version, did you UNCHECK the "install html files" bit? because if you didn't it will have overwritten all your templates It didn't ovewrite my templates, because I saved the entire Cumulus folder first before updating to the new version. I do that so I can se...
