Re: Cumulus behaviour with data input appears to have stoppe

Thanks Steve, I will investigate the restart option. That will prob. do for now as it does't happen that often, but yeah, once a Virtual VP port locks up it is unlikely that just a reconnect would do anything useful.
Thanks again.

Cumulus behaviour with data input appears to have stopped

Hi Steve, A few times I have been in the situation where Virtual VP has locked up the port that Cumulus is connected to and results in a "Data input appears to have stopped" error. While the lockup issue is beyond your control, is there a setting in Cumulus to stop uploading to WU, PWS, WO...

Re: Future data formats

I was going to try and install MariaDB, a drop-in replacement for MySQL (a MySQL fork), but, after going through the maze of 'geek' documentation (not much different than the Oracle's MySQL documentation), I postponed my installation ... until I could find some clear and concise offline documentati...

Build 1037

Steve,

It looks like build 1037 is build 1036, maybe I was too fast with the download.

Re: Monthly Records Rain (1034) Populated with Incorrect Dat

Steve, I am running Cumulus continuously (other than for updates and other necessary reboots) and yes my roll over time is 9am. I assume the problem occurred then, but you've only just noticed? Me Too. Attached are the diags which look like they cover the period in question. This copy of Cumulus is,...

Monthly Records Rain (1034) Populated with Incorrect Data

Steve, Think I have found a bug in build 1.9.3 1034. The Monthly Rain Record for MAY in my system has been populated with the Monthly Rain Record for APRIL. Looking at the Edit Monthly Records captures attached and you can see the issue. I have not had any rain tips in MAY. May Monthly Records.jpg M...

Re: Weather diary

Hi Steve, Any further thought of improving the functionality of the Weather Diary, I know this is an old thread and it was slated for Cumulus 2, but seeing as that is on hold, just wondering if you had given it any further thought. I tend to use the Diary to note any modifications or upgrades I make...

Cannot change NOAA Report Naming convention

Steve, I am trying to change the NOAA report naming convention to auto-sort by name, ie for the monthly reports "NOAA_MO_"yyyy_mm".txt" so they auto sort and yearly to "NOAA_YR_"yyyy".txt". The change for monthly reports works fine, but Cumulus accepts but doe...

Thanks Steve,

Yes, I have seen this problem with other software that I have used in the past that also had to be modified.

Weather Underground - Rapid fire delay

Steve, Have just noticed that when I upgraded Cumulus and restarted that Rapid fire updates WU before the software has stable values from the weather station. This results in erroneous data being submitted, in this case a zero value for temp. Can Cumulus be told to hold rapid fire updates until the ...

Re: Build 993 WMR100 Support

Steve, bigmac is on the right track. If you open Highs and Lows and close that window with part of the station name obscured, the obscured part is not refreshed. If you then open Highs and lows, then move the dialog box off of the station name the station name refreshes. This is in 995, 993 does not...

Re: Build 993 WMR100 Support

Steve,

Your speed amazes me.

Alt. pressure works, and all other reading seem to work. Forecast is there, will have to wait for a pressure change to check trend.

Thank you and until I have something further.....

Re: Build 993 WMR100 Support

One install is seeing the WMR direct (994), the other (993) is still using the WUHU / easyweather.dat / setup that I created some time back to enable me to use Cumulus. As for running in parallel, assuming you are using the standard read functions, it shouldn't be a problem. I have been using VWS/WU...
