Re: Lowest daily temp range record but no record light

Just checked the event logs...... the system rebooted itself this morning.

At least I know my auto start sequence works :)

Thanks

Re: Lowest daily temp range record but no record light

Hi Steve,

No, Cumulus runs 24/7. I checked it first thing this morning so no restarts. All other records have set the new record flag. Its not a major issue, so will just keep my eye on it. Whats the best way to reset that record so I can see if it happens tomorrow?

Lowest daily temp range record but no record light

Hi Steve,

I had a new lowest daily temp range record yesterday (1.6C). Data was collected OK but no record light flashing.

Re: Now available: AJAX/PHP multilingual website templates

Hi, I found an alternative solution to getting the Davis forecast updating on my website. I used a script from Dynamic Drive to process a text file. I also got the text file to include the current conditions, partly from mweather.exe and partly generated from Cumulus alarms. It currently updates eve...

Re: Special graph plot

btw, your gauges page is incorrectly identifying IE9 as in compatible with HTML5 - it works with Chrome. Hi Mark, That's odd. The page works fine as http://www.weather.btinternet.co.uk/gauges-ss.htm, but not when placed in the frame from the menu in IE9 :? I always use Chrome which works fine, so h...

Re: How adding new ajax images for last update?

Yeah, I had been wondering about how to present this information (trend v change). I know what it is, but the reader may not. This is still in thinking/development phase.
Thanks for tip re image size - I never noticed that (being local :) )

Re: Special graph plot

Hi, I use graphweather (google it and dowload - its free). Here is an example of what I have done: http://www.weather.btinternet.co.uk/charts_24hr.html (updates every 30 mins) You can choose how often you want the charts updated and ftp'd. You will need to define your own templates to customise if s...

Re: How adding new ajax images for last update?

Hi Frank, I have updated Ken's scripts to do something like you suggest. The arrow indicates the direction of the last change so is more dynamic in terms of trend updates (note: arrows only appear on first change - I may implement a steady arrow to start with but haven't got around to doing that yet...

Re: Now available: AJAX/PHP multilingual website templates

Hi, Just for a bit of fun, I am looking at "realtime"ing most of the cumulus data. The arrows on my page are updated every change rather than a trend arrow to give a more dynamic feel. Refreshing the page causes these to be reset, so I have tried to avoid that (maybe I can fix that). Havin...

Re: Now available: AJAX/PHP multilingual website templates

Hi Ken, I have created an alternative realtime.txt which includes the Davis forecast text (with spaces obviously). So I would like to parse my newrealtime.txt file (which has the variables separated by |)with a | character rather than a space. Is the ajaxCUwx.js easy to change to do this? I changed ...

Re: Fine tuning Cumulus Forecast

Hi, I have a Davis VP2 and the forecast on the console is the same as displayed on the cumulus website: http://www.weather.btinternet.co.uk/cumulus/ The realtime.txt file says that the forecast number is 2. But I can't find a list anywhere that matches the number 2 to the forecast as displayed on th...

Re: webcam refresh countdown timers

Hi, I have my webcam image refreshing nicely every minute via java script. But would like the client to stop downloading it during the evening (say between 2100 and 0600). The image isn't updated on the website outside these hours, so was looking to stop the client from doing downloads. Suggestions ...

I had originally assumed that the stuff on there was just for PHP, but there is plenty of good js stuff too. Thanks for the tip off. I have a bit of reading and testing to do :-)
