Re: Icumulus wiki link broken
I've adapted David A Jamieson's original file for use with my Davis Weather station in Tamworth but it should work with any station with UV and Solar sensors and my Maplins Weather station in Barcelona. Both files now include: Station rollover time ie. midnight, 9:00am or 10:00am Wind Run Current Mo...

Hi Steve,
Thank's for the speedy reply, I've read that thread and I'll just leave it to sort itself out.

Beta v1.9.3 (1057) Rainfall Since Midnight -731 mm
Happy New Year to all.
My Tamworth weather station uses the 9:00 am rollover and I have just noticed that the website displays -731mm of rain since midnight, the Vantage Pro2+ console shows 0.0mm.
Thought you may be interested.

Re: Monthly log file missing
Hi folks, Thought I would use this topic rather than start a new but similar one. I have just had a major computer failure and lost the majority of my monthly log files. Is there any way in which I can re-generate them from the dayfile.txt? I require them to re-instate the average wind speed and dir...

Re: VP2 - Wired vs. Wireless
I have the cabled version and for me the main reason was the cost and the purchase options. With the wireless version, the frequencies have to be compatible for the country that you are going to operate in, the cabled version can be used in any country. In essence this means you can purchase the cab...

Re: Cumulus PHP-GD Banner
If you look on the Server menu in Filezilla, you should see a 'force showing hidden files' option, so you would then be able to see .htaccess if you have one. If you don't then just create one with the rules that you want. I have ticked that option on FileZilla and I cannot see .htaccess. My comput...

Re: Cumulus PHP-GD Banner
The rewrite rules would go into your .htaccess after the RewriteEngine On command. I have used FileZilla Client to look for the .htaccess but I cannot find it in my root directory. I read somewhere in this forum that the dot prefix makes it invisible! How can I check whether it is there or not? If ...

Re: Cumulus PHP-GD Banner
My website programming skills leave a lot to be desired but using the template and instructions, I have successfully managed to produce a banner that I can use on the Cumulus forum. However, when I tried to use it on other forums and as part of my normal Microsoft Outlook email signature it would no...

Re: Converting Daytime FARS to 24-hour FARS?
Hi Ray,
The daytime FARS kit comes with a replacement SIM cover having two solar panels instead of the one panel as shown in your photo. As I have the cabled 6162 it only uses the lower panel.

Converting Daytime FARS to 24-hour FARS?
When I recently purchased and fitted the Daytime FARS to my 6162C Vantage Pro2 Plus, I noticed that one of the supplied shield plates looked like it was designed for both the daytime and 24-hour systems ie there were two places to hold batteries.
Has anyone converted a daytime system to 24-hours?

Re: Mean Data for Cumulus NOAA Style Reports
The Met Office have emailed the following as way of an explanation: Coleshill receives more rainfall per annual than Sutton Bonnington mainly due to its topography. Coleshill, altitude 96 metres AMSL, sits on a plateau which also contains the great West Midlands conurbation of Birmingham and the Bla...

Re: Mean Data for Cumulus NOAA Style Reports
Solved the problem, quite easy really, just emailed the Met Office and asked them for the average monthly temperature and rainfall for Tamworth. Yesterday I received the 30-year (1971-2000) monthly averages for their Coleshill station, their nearest station to Tamworth, it's about 11 miles due south...

Mean Data for Cumulus NOAA Style Reports
While searching for Normal Mean Temp and Normal Precipitation values to use in setting up my NOAA reports I came across the Met Office website which seems to contain all the info. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/climate/uk/datasets/# I duly downloaded the Midlands figures and then used Excel to produce ...
