Re: Problem with b3283a
Hello again I've hit a problem! I uploaded build 3283a but since doing so I cannot get any data to load. The latest diagnostic report shows the following message:- 2024-03-28 13:14:39.758 InitTCP: Error - Unable to write data to the transport connection: An established connection was aborted by the...

Re: FTP not working
You should also remove the PHP code! And which version of CMX are you using? Regarding FTP it is always useful to use the last version (if you experience issues) because the libraries may have been updated. Good catch, I didn’t think about it being there since he was talking about ftp. :groan: Howe...

Re: Docker image test - CMX 4
Sad to say I’m already very nervous about this potential update. I’m not technically competent with all these different updates and background changes. I had just got my head round how to update CMX 3 on my Rpi, as newer versions came out. This new update looks like it may be a step too far for som...

Re: Cumulus MX go in auto-off at 01:10
Thanks for the reply, here is the part of the log that describes what happened. I specify that it refers to the new station that I am preparing on a new Raspberry 4. Thanks I don’t know if it is anyhow related to CumulusMX shutting down unexpectedly, but your station logger interval is 30min and in...

Re: February 2024 errors with NOAA and rainfall generation
I deleted the file and replaced it with your corrected file and hey it works! However, not the end of the story since the gigantic rainfall totals are still amiss and continuing, but at least I can see the blatant errors in the two location of "daily rain" and on the "Noaa report&quo...

Re: February 2024 errors with NOAA and rainfall generation
Your dayfile.txt has an error that might be the reason for report generation to fail. Error at line 1256 of data\dayfile.txt : Input string was not in a correct format. If that particular line seems to be ok, check if there are some corrupted lines before that. If you can’t see anything obvious, you...

Re: realtime.txt fails in raspberry Pi image
In my knowledge there is not any easy ”out-of-the-box-ready” way to access realtime.txt locally on your Raspberry via the CumulusMX Dashboard that is running on port 8998. Normally you are expected to upload it to your public website. If I’m right, and you want to host the file only locally, then yo...

Re: Sorting dayfile and monthly log files
I am trying to help another user who has some serious data issues including date out of sequence. I was able, using Excel, to sort by date and that ended with tab delineated and can't seem to get the file back to comma delineated and .txt format. Any suggestions? If I understood your problem correc...

Re: Solar/UV Info
It seems your sensor is the older version (clear plastic over the sensor), so it might be one reason why it is quite sensitive to any obstacles. Later versions have white milky lens that probably softens and distributes the light getting to the sensor.

Re: Solar/UV Info
I'm wondering if some trees/branches is the reason it's not a nice bell curve, I'll have to keep a better eye on that but will look into fixing the sensor if its that. Today was cloud free. Blue skies all day. As of 4pm I counted 8.5hrs of sunshine in reality but its showing 4.6. All the graphs you...

Re: Repairing Rain
When you get a large amount of rainfall like this (cleaning gauge, or counter reset, then restore) the thing to do is correct that days rainfall in the editor. Do not edit any ini files. Then wait for the day rollover. The following day you can clean up any other records that have been set (eg rain...

Re: Monthly Reports are no longer updating
MX shouldn't care about the odd missing bit data - after all when it catches up, the archive logging interval is often different from the live logging interval. I cannot see anything wrong at line 1152, but further down the file there is some corruption... Could there be some strange correlation re...

Re: Monthly Reports are no longer updating
Excellent. Keep an eye on it for a while to see if the automatic generation resumes/continues now. Let's hope that Mark can find and fix the reason for this occurring. @gard72 (who started this thread) could you also check if there is a gap on your data between the lines 2951-2952 or send the Jan24l...
