Re: CWOP / APRS Upload Problem
It does seem that all my connections are being logged at findu.com as coming in on cwop-4 which is 129.15.108.117. I have my own internal Windows DNS Server and I am using the default CWOP setting in CumulusMX for cwop.aprs.net:14580. I ran a ping and a nslookup from a Windows box and it returned th...

Re: CWOP / APRS Upload Problem
Thanks Steve. I'll update this post so if anyone else runs into this problem and does a forum search, this might help them out. I turned on debug logging temporarily from the web interface - "You can turn the logging on or off temporarily (i.e. for the current run only, changes do not get affec...

CWOP / APRS Upload Problem
I have been running CumulusMX on a Raspberry Pi 2B since it was first released. I've also been registered with CWOP for many years and I get daily data quality reports from weather.gladstonefamily.net. I noticed a few days ago that my total number of daily reports was low. I have CumulusMX set to re...

Re: Davis console clock update at 04:00hrs
Or possibly a hardware issue. Is you console newer or several years old? I had one console that I bought back in 2011. At the beginning of this year, I had several problems with communications drops between my console and the ISS and issues with something (console or ISS) inventing rain. I went roun...

Re: Problem with Davis Reception Stats
I posted a reply in https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=13197 about my clock issue which looks to be a strange power problem with the console. The clock issue was repeatable, based on power source, so I know it should be fixed now. In testing that issue, I couldn't cause the stats...

Re: Davis console clock update at 04:00hrs
I found something very interesting. Normally this console is plugged into a wall power supply but also has batteries installed. When I was running v1.9.4 I had it on a shelf near my Win2003 Server that was running Cumulus. When I started with the RPi and MX, I moved it over to a desk so I could have...

Problem with Davis Reception Stats
I have an RPi 2 running MX b3030 connected to a Davis VP2 Console with FW 3.15 and a USB Datalogger. I have a custom page that displays Davis Stats and I use PRTG to read the Stats and email me if my communications goes down or starts throwing a lot of errors (CRC, missed packets, resynchs, etc.) or...

Re: Davis console clock update at 04:00hrs
I have an RPi 2 running MX b3030 connected to a Davis VP2 Console with FW 3.15 and a USB Datalogger. My Davis Console displays a time 37 mins behind the current time. My RPi has the correct time set. I have the "Synchronise station clock" checked in the ini. On startup: 2015-09-20 17:17:41...

Re: Problems with APRS / CWOP Reporting w/ build 3030
OK - I figured this out and I believe I found a bug in MX build 3030. I looked at my last good packet vs. the bad packet list and found the same as BigOkie: DW9477>APRS,TCPXX*,qAX,CWOP-6:@182320z3902.00N/11942.33W_326/008g013t078r000p000P000h16b10164eCumulusDsVP DW9477>APRS,TCPXX*,qAX,CWOP-3:@191950...

Re: Problems with APRS / CWOP Reporting w/ build 3030
Just found this page that lists every one of my new MX packets as having an error:

Problems with APRS / CWOP Reporting w/ build 3030
I just upgraded from v1.9.4 build 1085 running on WinServer 2003 to a RPi 2 last night. I have everything working fine on the RPi so far with the exception of APRS/CWOP reporting. If I go to www.findu.com it says (as of now) that I haven't reported any data since last night when I shutdown my old in...

Re: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: Address already in u
I upgraded to MX build 3030 yesterday on a RPi. I copied over my Cumulus data and Cumulus.ini file before starting MX. When I started MX, I kept getting the unable to connect to station message followed shortly thereafter by a crash of MX. I missed the line in the FAQ about changing com ports in the...

Re: Davis VP2 inventing Rain
I've been checking periodically for the last couple of days and I see no activity on Channel 1.archae86 wrote:Have you noticed whether your console indicates the presence of a transmitter on channel 1 even though you are no longer transmitting there yourself?

Re: Weather Underground not updating
Originally I thought it might be a problem with Cumulus handling the special characters and that's why I cut & pasted the string from the debug.log file into my browser. When the browser test also returned an invalid password error, then I knew the problem was on WU's side and not Cumulus' side....

Re: Davis VP2 inventing Rain
I wanted to follow-up on this issue in case someone else is searching for answers to a similar problem. I think enough time has expired now to know that my problem is fixed, so here is the update. I went up the ladder and could find no problems with my rain collector or tipping bucket assembly. So, ...
