Cumulus 1 Patch to facilitate monthly NOAA data

Thank you for this.
It's really useful to me, as I compile monthly data to send to Climatological Observers Link. The NOAA format means all the month's data is concisely shown in a table. e.g: daily average wind speed, with the average for the month displayed at the foot.

Vantage Vue Console Wouldn't Connect with Cumulus 1

All, I closed cumulus down, to initiate a day rain correction I had made on the console, and couldn't reconnect when I restarted cumulus. The history section displayed, but I got an error message, saying 'check your connections'. I looked in my configuration page, and checked baud rate (19200) for a...

Re: My website not working properly

Thank you for all your replies. I fixed the display problem myself. I describe it below in case others experience it: Open Filezilla, connect to your server (your hostname). Delete all files in the right hand pane. I was unable to delete one. I don't think it was a cumulus file. Click on cumulus web...

Re: My website not working properly

Thank you for replying Mark. My computer knowledge can be summed up in being able to surf internet and send emails. Forgive me if I say I didn't understand your post. About 12 years ago I installed Cumulus 1 on my windows desktop pc. At the time, my website was hosted by Steve Loft, and began with '...

Re: My website not working properly

Thank you for your help David. At 1000 25 Nov 23, my website is largely displaying correctly. I went back into Filezilla. I found my files were in public_html directory/folder in right hand pane. I thought I'd try a drag and drop of weatherstyle.css from left hand pane into right. This worked. There...

Re: My website not working properly

Thank you for your reply. I've checked the right hand pane of Filezilla, (remote site), and both weatherstyle.css and moon.bmp are there. MY cumulus version is 1.9.4 build 1099. I've only had problems recently due to error 11002 (connect error which occurs in the first seconds of the routine uploads...

Can you please tell me what to do to correct this.

In my cumulus configeration file the root folder is public_html, if that helps.
My ftp uploader is Filezilla.
Thanks

ftp 500 error message

For the past few weeks I've received this. Approx 20% of uploads to the ftp site fail in a random fashion. Not knowing where the fault was, I tried changing the tick boxes in the Cumulus Internet page. I ticked the 'use active ftp mode' box after reading the Cumulus help files. The next scheduled up...

Updating to Windows 10 cured xx/xx/99 Dayfile Bug

I have not contacted the forum before on this subject. Under Windows 7 I would get a spurious Dayfile listing of xx/xx/99 at the end of a month. Only occurred in a 30 or 31 day month, cannot remember which. The file appeared to be created on the 2nd day of the following month. I did not seek help fo...

Re: N96GY on offer at Maplins

There is a reason for discounting.

If a product is getting a high level of customer returns, the retailer will want to rid themselves of this problem sooner rather than later.

Although faulty units may be well below 50% of all products sold, customers are taking a risk to buy at this price.

Thanks Bob. Success!

I had not appreciated that I had to open Notepad and drag the relevant files in to edit them.

Removing Solar and Evap. details from supplied web pages

I wish to remove the Solar and Evapotranspiration details from the supplied web pages (version 1.9.1 build 989).

I have refered to 3.3 of the Cumulus FAQ. I do not know how to edit the indexT.htm, todayT.htm, and yesterdayT.htm files in the 'web folder'.

Help appreciated.

Re: Davis Vantage Vue - Temperature Sunlight Accuracy

I recently upgraded from WH1081 to Vantage Vue as my Fine Offset console was losing contact with the outside sensors every few days. My Vue is mounted on the gable end of my house, with the ISS just above the roof apex. I have found that the temperature recorded is within a degree Celcius of a shade...
