Thanks in advance Bob

Re: Newbie buying a weather station in Australia
Yeah, the Lacrosse and the Fine Offset stations are pretty cheaply built.I would think that getting 3-4 years out of them would be the going rate.

Re: Newbie buying a weather station in Australia
I brought my first one of ebay with no problems, it lasted 3 years before the transmitter died. My current one I got from Bunnings for $300 and paid way too much. You could try this one at Jaycar, it's only $150, connects to a PC. And if it doesn't work with Cumulus, you can always take it back (I t...

Re: Sunny Weather Template for Cumulus v.1.9.2
Thanks Robyn! Now I'm off to find the files
Edit: It's all go! Looks great too! My hat's off to you Jacques, it's a great template.
One thing though, I also got tripped up with the graphs and gauges not working too.

Using Google's Weather API to extract data
Has anyone used the Google weather API to return info to feed into Cumulus? Since the Metar info isn't really that great, I'd like to this to get the current conditions back and save it to the file "currentconditions.txt" for import into Cumulus. Googling this up seems everyone's using PHP...

Re: Decoding METARS
Ok I got it working, thanks! Had to wrap it a bat file per this thread. https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=6138 I'm actually thinking it may be better to scrape the google weather api for more info. I think I'll start a thread regarding this topic, and post back the link to it. E...
