I was just about to try that until I realised that it is on the roof with it's own transmitter.

Re: Rain Gauge Failing

Yeah, I just tested the battery and it's fully charged. I had the 'R' showing up on the console, so I would guess that the transmitter is failing? I cannot record any rain at all now, only if I pull out the cable, insert it again, then make it tip. After that, it stops again.

Re: Rain Gauge Failing

Solar sensor on it's way out now..

That's 3 anemometers, 2 solar sensors and one rain gauge that has gone, and the station is only 20 months old. I will never buy a Davis product again!

Re: Rain Gauge Failing

I've just done a bit of investigative work and I don't think it is the reed switch. I unplugged the rain gauge from the transmitter, then plugged it back in, and then tipped the bucket - registered rain. I then tipped it back the other way - nothing. So I thought it was only registering one way, so ...

Rain Gauge Failing

On the wettest day for quite some time, I noticed my station's rain is reading around half of what my manual gauges have. On further inspection, it is only registering a tip one way. I haven't touched anything, I just sprayed some compressed air around a few parts to get rid of some spider caucuses ...

Not on my broadband connection, it's too slow. As it is, my internet slows right up if I get more than 2 people viewing my webcam.

Re: MySQL Time zones table

That's 11 hosting companies now, that say the timezone tables aren't loaded in to sql, and they refuse to do it unless it is a dedicated server. How are other people managing this? It's really confusing to me. :?

Re: MySQL Time zones table

Can you create the zone table in your user space and populate it. The comments on this page suggests you can... https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.7/en/mysql-tzinfo-to-sql.html I've managed to run that and create the table, but I don't know what I need to do next. It is beyond my capabilities after...

MySQL Time zones table

I just thought i'd make a post to see how many have this issue with shared hosting.. Basically, when retrieving my data from MySQL, you need timezone info: $result = $mysqli->query("SET time_zone='Europe/London'"); However, I cannot use that, because the time zone tables are not loaded in ...

Re: Support for WeatherFlow Smart Weatherstation

The devices (Sky and Air) seem to have a relatively simple web based API interface. It's not apparent from the web pages for the devices if the interface is to the local device(s) or via a 'central' web server on their site, similar to WeatherUnderground, which would have implications for rates of ...

Re: Cumulus Realtime.txt Dashboard Template

Hi Brian I have decided to finally do an update. I just have a couple of queries.. is the sql side of things still not available? I see it says WS1001/CUMULUS users now.. I cannot seem to get my wind units in mph. I have changed every single setting and refreshed the page but it still won't chan...

I decided to check this out, and it's working fine for me too.

Do you have a valid number set for transmission factor in the solar settings? ie mine is set to 0.86

Re: WU-forecast.php

In the last few months it had been very hit and miss. Not sure it they are to blame or not. Just double check your DNS and time are pretty much 100% ok and nothing your end (network related) is making the data truncated at all. I think I did move DNS from Google to OpenDNS which seems slightly fast...
