No it isn't. It requires timezone tables to be used in SQL.

Re: Suggested web site hosting offerings

Even A2 is ridiculous considering how little they have to do to host a Cumulus site. And I don't have a huge following so its pretty silly. Well, that depends on what you want. I pay £7 a month for unlimited bandwidth, unlimited storage, free SSL. I don't think that's ridiculous at all! I store qui...

Re: FTP

I just don't see the need for BST or any other form of daylight saving on servers. Good websites and client software will show dates and times using their local timezone. It is 100% needed when using Mark's historic highchart graphs. Specifically, viewing solar and sunshine data plotted by the hour...

Re: VP2 status

Sounds like you got a lemon :-( "A lemon" ? It's a modular station, so it can't be a lemon by itself. Two faulty anemometers, two faulty solar sensors and a faulty rain base, that's five lemons. lol Just to add to that, one anemometer was from a Davis supplier in Germany, one from the UK....

Re: VP2 status

I like my VP2 but i've had a lot of replacement parts in the 2 and half years i've had mine.

I'm on my third solar sensor, third anemometer and second rain collecting base in that time.

Re: Suggested web site hosting offerings

Is there an idiot's guide on how to switch should it be necessary? I've switched quite a few times - very straightforward. You can use cpanel to do a full site backup and download the zip file. Or, you can use an FTP client and copy the whole directory to a folder on your PC. When a new hosting is ...

Re: Suggested web site hosting offerings

A2 hosting is my recommendation. It's who I use. If you're using MySQL, be aware that many shared hosting companies will not have the timezone table loaded on to the server, and 99% of the time, they will not add it either. That will cause a problem with certain graph data (using Mark's highcharts) ...

Re: This Year's Rainfall Total

Hi William

I see you have missing data in your data summary for May 26th. Did you have rain on that day?

Re: Yet Another Dayfile Reader (PHP)

Hi I have had this running for several years now, but last night I switched hosting companies and it now doesnt work. I have successfully uploaded my old website and all the files and changed some settings in Cumulus to point the various files to the correct directories, but I cant get my histrocic...

Re: Site going down.

Ah the dreaded Wordpress!

I have seen thousands of bots trying to access Wordpress links on my site that simply don't exist.

Glad you've managed to resolve it though. :)

Re: Comparing with one year ago

Line 329 has error in second parameter of call, you have: '<span class="lowerfont">&nbsp;mph</span>&nbsp;' It is supposed to be passing a parameter to a function, not defining a font Replace that section of the line with 'mph', as the only allowed values for that second parameter ...

Re: Comparing with one year ago

As it's a wet & windy day, I decided to do some website stuff and thought i'd add the MySQL version of this to my site. I've got 99.99% of it working - added a few extra's too. However, that 0.01% is the Beaufort number/description not showing up. I get this error: PHP Notice: Undefined variable...

A new station record for me! A temperature range of 20°C

Felt like Summer was starting again. A max of 23.3°C.
