Fallstreak cloud
My partner and I were returning from Wester Ross on Saturday, the long way round via Inverness. On the A1 in Northumberland we spotted this .... https://dl.dropbox.com/u/34779111/fallstreak.jpg A fallstreak cloud. Best picture I could get I'm afraid. It was quite a thing to see. I can't remember eve...

Re: Fed up with lost sensor contact
Perhaps the solar pod can be disconnected for good. The UV and Lux readings are wildly inaccurate anyway. Unless you keep yourself in a cave, a quick glance out a window will soon reveal how bright (or overcast) it is. Well when mine goes screwball again I aim to do just that. I am not going to bot...

Re: Fed up with lost sensor contact
I have a 3080. I "lost" the Solar readings and then some while later got the LowTXR message. Signatrol replaced the solar unit and the readings returned for a bit then stopped. Signatrol replaced the transmitter (they do it no questions asked - no complaints at all there). It was working f...

Re: Extending the cables on a WH3081
Just a what happened after post regarding cable lengths. I had to have a rethink after various placement issues. As it stands now I have everything except the wind module mounted on my observatory. The anemometer and wind dir is way up on the roof. So I didn't have to run cables down the roof I dril...

Re: WH3080 Solar readings.
The UV readings are the ones that get me. At the moment the sun is just peeking through a load of grey cloud. I have a UV reading of 5 and often get >12 in full sun.

Re: WH3080 Solar readings.
Sun Threshold 75% Solar Minimum 4 Trans Factor 0.80 LuxTo WM2 0.0060 The last one really allowed the fine tuning, as Colin suggested in the post. https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=6910 The Lux to W/M2 - do you mean the multiplier in Calibration or is it a setting in Cumulus.ini?

Re: WH-3080 Transmitter Batteries
I too have this problem. Firstly I lost the Solar values on the receiver. After this the low battery icon came on. I replaced the rechargeable alkalines with some 2600NiMh's which lasted for a bit until they too went flat and I lost all data. In the meantime I got in touch with the supplier who sent...

Extending the cables on a WH3081
Hello all .... I have been running a WH3080 since early this year. At first it was at the bottom of the garden and worked very well. I then moved up onto the roof whereupon the Solar side of the unit failed and the batteries died. I am awaiting a replacement from Signatrol and in the meantime have r...
