We had a high of 35.9°C yesterday at 5:27 p.m. making it the second highest maximum in August, since i started my records in 2006. Also the night remained very warm, it was still 27.8°C warm by midnight and the temperature fell under 25°C as late as 5 a.m. in the morning. The low of this morning was...

Re: August 2013 in UK/Europe/World
33.1°C at the moment so its tied with the maximum of July 23th.
We are expecting the hottest day of the year, with a maximum of 35°C.
The alltime High for August is 36.4°C, but i doubt that we will reach that far.

Re: July 2013 in Europe/UK/World
The highest during this "heatwave" (i have to check what the Definition of the DWD is) was 33.1°C on the 23rd July. Today we had the 3rd hot day of the month with 30.1°C at my station and today is also the 7th consecutive summer day (maximum temperature above 25°C). Here my maximum values:...

Re: July 2013 in Europe/UK/World
The maximum temperature yesterday was 31.9°C, making it the warmest day 2013. I'm not really a friend of high temperatures though i have to say, thanks to the low humidity it was quite comfortable. :) Also the temperature remained high during the night, the minimum was reached shortly after 6 am wit...

Re: Cumulus PHP-GD Avatar
Right now the avatar.gif only updates when i execute the avatar.php by myself, but what settings in Cumulus toolbox do i need, so that the avatar.gif is being updated automatically every 10 minutes for example? In 'Setup' select the 'Remote Commands' tab and click 'Add'. Make sure 'HTTP address' is...

Re: Cumulus PHP-GD Avatar
Hi, I had this problem that most sites wont accept a .php file as avatar. So I inserted this lines into the code: $dest = "avatar.gif"; imagegif($im,$dest); $filename = $dest; Put this code in the avatar script before the lines: // We be done... destroy the image imagedestroy($im); exit; ...

Re: July 2013 in Europe/UK/World
This weekend was rather cool here with highs of 16-18°C, thanks to the north sea clouds drifting in- but this will hopefully change tomorrow here..

July 2013 in Europe/UK/World
We are finally heading into a sunny and warm weekend in Northern Germany, with pleasant dry air and temperatures between about 22°C near the coast and 25°C further inland. The only drawback might be if the wind shifts to Northwest, which would mean then it could bring thick stratus clouds from the N...

According to Weather Underground Furnace Creek in Death Valley was the hottest spot with 128 F (53.3°C). The highest temperature i've ever experienced was 38°C and already that was almost unbearable for me, it felt like someone has forgot to close an oven door. Hopefully the temperature will soon re...
