Re: End user feedback on recent website modifications.

Hi Simon, I'm still running the old (PHP Version: 5.6.33) as i have many old dependant MySql Scripts which I have not as yet had time to convert. You can always easily check version using : http://southfranklinweather.com/weather/check-fetch-times.php?show=versions just a heads up, as mentioned rece...

Re: End user feedback on recent website modifications.

Hi,
Not sure how you best test page load times, but hopefully i have now reduced again.
Still have my main warnings scripts etc. to trim next weekend, but todays changes should hopefully be quicker.
Kind regards,

Re: End user feedback on recent website modifications.

Hi, After some additional script (culling, though not as yet touched my Warning/Alert/etc...scripts) I think, hopefully your end will now be below the 5 second mark, as here it is below three. Hi David, yes I saw that, had a quick look at your rvblog earlier (lucky fellow). i see you have pas...

Re: End user feedback on recent website modifications.

Thanks Ken, Greatly appreciated, so close but not quite there yet. I will have to look at streamlining my numerous warnimngs/alerts/etc.etc... next weekend. i took the opportunity while converting the mouse over graphs, to convert the graphs from my old Mysql Charts to utilise my homeweather/dashboa...

Re: End user feedback on recent website modifications.

Hi all, Firstly thank you all for taking your time out to test my page and the time to respond, it is greatly appreciated. Ken I have adopted your proposal (convert the Mouse Over Graphs to Popups), makes sense now that I think about it. The graphs are mySql driven and although I do have a cache tim...

End user feedback on recent website modifications.

Hi, My Saratoga Template over the years has been heavily modified in order to cater for Australian/Tasmanian based display. Reason being most current templates only cater for Europe/US etc, so from a Radar/Synop/Fire/Warnings/Alerts/Advisories/Earthquakes/etc...etc. point I have had to script my own...

Re: Cumulus Realtime.txt Dashboard Template

Hi, Modified my Today based MySql Scripts to return rolling 48hrs rather than just current day, as I always like to see prior day in charts. Also added new charts, Cloud-base (converted with Metres/Feet), UV, Solar (added Theoretical Max), Wind Direction, Temp/Humidity. https://southfranklinweather....

Re: get-UV-forecast-inc.php

Hi Ken, Thanks, it seems to have updated overnight. I should have added more detail/context to my initial post. The only reason I picked up on this was that my DU/Ozone (for current Day) on my index page was displaying None (No Data). Upon checking I found that the cached uv-forecast.txt file was (0...

get-UV-forecast-inc.php

Hi Ken, I appreciate this is the wrong thread to post the following, however I thought for relevance I would. Not sure if this is just a script issue (or rather more likely Global Internet issue). However I just applied Simon's work around to my "uv-forecast.php" script as it has also beco...

Re: TNETweather (Kevin Reed) has passed away

Firstly my sincere condolence to Kevin Reed's Family. I had the luxury of engaging with Kevin in the early days, though only on a minor engagement in comparison to the likes of Ken True's engagements. The sad part is in reality that we are all aging and the end is inevitable. We never Say What We Sh...
