Re: Cumulus Needs to be Restarted After Internet Dropouts

I notice you have a VP2, it might be helpful to know how you are connecting to the Davis? Also if you already have logging active then a full extract from the log covering the period from say 15 minutes before the failure in order to see fully what leads up to it.

Re: Data in new version

If you still have your V3 files intact you can keep running it as before but in my mind the new format makes much more sense and is universal in all languages. Also if you need the old format name you could write a script to copy them back to the old name periodically but bear in mind that all V4 da...

Re: Data in new version

If you followed the instructions to the letter you still have your old data files in the dataV3 folder. They are converted into the new format and placed in the data folder with the new name.

Re: Data in new version

That is the new file name used by V4 which is why you have to convert your old files from V3 before first starting V4.

Re: V4 b4022 - HTTPS Error

Mark's comment about concurrent uploads made me look at mine and I do have it set to 1, so if yours is 2 then definitely try that. I would also recommend the update to build 4023 anyway to get the latest fixes.

Re: V4 b4022 - HTTPS Error

Not sure why we are not seeing more information on these errors. I think we might need Mark to take a look at this. Just wondering if it might be worth updating to 4023 and seeing if these still happen?

Re: V4 b4022 - HTTPS Error

That log file only shows retries, no actual errors, so I assume the retry works. Are the files ever uploaded? How frequently are you uploading these files? Is debug and data set on for logging if not please set to on and give us another log file? I cannot see any start of the realtime cycles only pe...

Re: V4 b4022 - HTTPS Error

Not sure what to say here. If this is PHP upload then it should work - mine does. Is this the only upload failing or are others failing as well. If this is FTPS or SFTP then there are things in their knowledge base which explain what settings to use and which login to use.

Re: Climate forum

While climate change is interesting I see on other weather forums where it is discussed it gets bogged down in whether or not it is fact or fiction, mostly from users in the USA, and I find it difficult to restrain my self from commenting in support of fact! It does seem a very controversial topic! ...

Re: RealtimePHP[164]]: General Error uploading to realtime.txt

Been investigating this some more, the issue happened several times in a succession around 01:29 to 01:32 but not all updates failed and the WOW update at 01:30 worked fine. All updates to Ecowitt appear to have been OK throughout the times of these errors. So that probably rules out a router going ...

I'll investigate some more but I've not been informed about any outage either ISP or Hosting site.

Re: Web hosting - any takers?

I do use a hosting service which also handles my email including spam removal, and also handle domain renewals. Like others my contract expires later in the year. I realise your suggested service may well not handle some of this stuff.
