Re: Where is Cumulus Download

I suppose that the problem is that there are so many different ways of setting up the forum to match personal preferences. Your new link in the header points to the topic which is very helpful (it would have helped me). Thank you. :D I suspect that a link to the actual first post in the topic would ...

Re: Where is Cumulus Download

Its very easy to find the topic heading. All the posts in the topic are in reverse time/date order when I have my options set as below. So the first, important post is at the foot of 3 or 4 pages of subsequent posts. I set up my options like this so that I get an immediate view of all posts since my...

Re: Where is Cumulus Download

OK I have my options set so that I get only new posts since my last log-on. Then each Topic, etc. is posted in reverse time order so that I see the latest posts at the top. This may be unusual, but I suspect that there are many members who do this in the same way as I do The order of posts which I g...

Re: Where is Cumulus Download

Found it - thanks. It is at the foot of page 3 of the topic. :bash: Perhaps I have my forum parameters set up in an unusual way (I have the latest post at the top) - but I would have thought that the download link would be found more easily if it were at the TOP of the topic (or in some "always...

Where is Cumulus Download

Am I being thick, slow, blind or what?
I feel as if I am looking for a needle in a haystack - when, I'm sure, it's a redwood in an herbaceous border.

BUT - where are the download files for Cumulus MX ?

Re: Cumulus Users list on Wiki cleaned up

Please feel free to add my site - although I see that it is on the Cumulus Map. (Unfortunately, the anemometer and wind direction indicator blew down in high winds some time ago and I haven't had chance to fix them yet - so watch that space.) place : Queensbury, Near Bradford, West Yorkshire positio...

Re: My ftp to the web stalls frequently

Thanks Steve. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't suggesting that you make any changes to your software. If I have a problem I expect to have to sort it myself - but as I get older, my brain begins to ache and solutions are not as easily found as they used to be. I have read the WIKI. :? I shall need to wo...

Re: My ftp to the web stalls frequently

Thanks. Will look at the WIKI.

The provider says that they accept uploads ONLY by FTPES.

I have now heard that other providers do this as well.

Re: My ftp to the web stalls frequently

I think that I have sorted my problem - but then I find another  At the start-up of cumulus.exe the file "cumuluswebtags.txt" starts off quite small but then enlarges as data is added. The ftp to my website works perfectly (with "cumuluswebtags.txt" as the first file to be u...

My ftp to the web stalls frequently

Hi folks I have a problem with the ftp of my cumulus files to the web, and I am not sure why or what is happening. The background is that over the last 10 days or so I appear to have been having interruptions to the smooth working of my Hub5 (BT Affinity) although it has worked very well for the pre...

Re: What screen resolution does your Cumulus PC use?

I'm thinking of saying good-bye to my aging Dell Laptop which runs Windows XP and replacing it with a second-hand Samsung Netbook running Windows 7. The Dell has a resolution of 1024*768 but the Samsung will be only 1024*600. I run the Dell at the back of the room for Cumulus only - the Samsung will...

Re: Starting Cumulus without a tation attached

Ah! Great. That means that I can (after a back up for safety) play about with editing the files to get rid of spikes, etc., and thoroughly understand what the procedures are, without worrying about the station adding new data. It seems obvious to do that without the station being connected - but I d...

Starting Cumulus without a tation attached

There is a clear instruction not to start Cumulus unless a weather station (logger) is attached.
What problems can we expect to find if we do this?
My station is a WH1090 - does this have a particular set of problems?

Content of Monthly Log Files

I have been using Cumulus for about 18 months, and now want to understand the log files better. The monthly log file contains a field (23, "W") which is described in the Wiki as : Current theoretical max solar radiation (only valid if solar sensor on weather station) I am using a WH1090 (a...

Re: Longest wet/dry periods

I have had 24 consecutive wet days up to yesterday.
That will be a current record because today has been dry.
