Re: Missing NOAA Monthly Reports
Dear Dazza 1223. Thank you for your offer of help. I use Cumulus 1 Ver 1.9.4 (Build 1099). What exactly do you require me to send you? I can create a NOAA file for each missing month but that doesn't seem to work. Grant.

Missing NOAA Monthly Reports
I cannot find an answer to my query. I have a WH1080 station and a Dell computer running Windows 10. The Computer crashed on 2 May 2019. It was restored using the previous day's Full Backup. The Station then crashed and ALL sensors were replaced including the Consol which turned out to have caused t...

Re: Cumulus - manually edit faulty data?
Yesterday I maintained my WH1080 weather station at 11:45am, but for 10 minutes I forgot to turn off/disconnect the transponder and the computer. I have managed to correct most of the data manually, but my system is sill showing the "Last Rain" as 1st August 2018. There was no rain that or...

Re: Weather Data Annual Summary - Dominant Wind Direction
Thank you for all your comments. Most helpful. I regenerated the NOAA Month and Annual files yesterday (no change). As requested, I attach the Dayfile, two NOAA 2014 month files (March & August) and also the 2014 NOAA Annual file for your information. Rounding would seem a real possibility. Than...

Re: Weather Data Annual Summary - Dominant Wind Direction
Thank you. I can see no obvious error in the diagnostic file. From what you say I can only assume that there is an error in the Dayfile, although if the Monthly and Annual reports are prepared using the same data it is difficult to see why they should be different. Thanks for your help. While on the...

Re: Weather Data Annual Summary - Dominant Wind Direction
Each NOOAA-style Monthly Report gives the dominant wind direction for that month at the end of the Total Line for hat month. The NOOAA-style Annual Climatalogical Report appears to take each of the Monthly report totals and enter them on this Annual Summary. In my case, for the year 2014, the Annual...

Weather Data Annual Summary - Dominant Wind Direction
My station is WH1080 using Ver 1.9.4 (Build 1099). On the Annual Summary the dominant wind direction is shown for each month and also for the year. However, for two months (March & August) the direction shown on the Annual Summary differs from the dominant direction shown on the relevant month r...

Missing Month Totals
I use Cumulus ver 1.9.3 Buils 1059. My station is a Fine Offset WH1080. My records commenced on 6 May 2012. When I look at my data on my website (using Google Chrome Browser) on the tab list at the bottom of each screen is "Month Totals" Tab. When clicked it opens to show tabs for every mo...

Re: Bug Report Build 1032
Thank you for your comments. The computer was rebooted and cumulus (build 1032 re-started). No problems. The software works fine. It seems to have been a general computer (Windows 7?) malfunction as my other programs on that machine failed to operate properly. I have now downloaded and installed ver...

Re: Wind Vane Direction Reporting
My query was due to my complete ignorance as to how the Wind Vane operates. (I haven't had to take one apart yet!). My vane reports on the 4 Cardinal and 4 half-Cardinal points of the compass: i.e. O, 45, 90, 135, 180 Deg., and so on. I now understand, from this Forum, that the Vane has only 8 reed ...

Wind Vane Direction Reporting
I am puzzled. I use a WH1080 station. It is on a 10ft pole above roof height and is clear of any major wind shadows or eddy effects. My Cumulus software Wind animation is set to 2, Compass points are set to 16. The Wind Direction vane rotates freely (too freely perhaps), and the Wind Direction repor...

Re: Setting up a website
If you are looking for a cheap computer to act as a full-on server, you should seriously consider a Dell "Optiplex". I bought mine on eBay some months ago and it cost £50. Quite basic but excellent value and very reliable. Setting up the website is very easy.

Re: Strange rainfall record
Thank you very much for your suggestions. Your guidance is most welcome and I will move my rain sensor lower down. It will still be above the eave of the house, although still rather close, but there should still be a good catchment. Thanks also for letting me know about the Met. Office website. I s...
