Re: Extra logfile with latest values.

Not sure if you have seen this in the Wiki http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Realtime.txt#Recreating_the_file_using_webtags
Others who use MX might chip in re your other questions.

I realised that and edited my post to say that as you were adding your post!

Mark - have a look at the Wiki - all the edits on that page are by you!

ImportCumulusFile.php?type=dayfile&key=mypassword&file=Out17log.txt" ... Error: Failed security key check:the password Mark knows that ImportCumulusFile.php script better than me, but I think "key=" is something internal to that script. I believe you define in the script an e...

Re: Decoding METARS

If anyone is interested, I have written in PHP 7 a METAR decoding script that takes into account all the 2017 changes I changed my decoder to use "pow(base, value)" instead of "base ** value", and changed all my array declarations to use "x = array (value_list)" instea...

Re: Alphanumeric Password Format

If you look up the official URL specification both '+' and '=' each have a specific defined meaning as separators and are therefore not a permitted character elsewhere like in your password. Consequently, the problem is simply in the protocol for transport between Cumulus and WU, not either end's fa...

Re: off-line data

From the Wiki: The main configuration file is Cumulus.ini and located in the directory in which you installed Cumulus.exe. If you rename the executable file to say Cumulus1.exe, then the configuration file takes that name i.e. Cumulus1.ini. For Cumulus MX, both file-names must start with a capital l...

Re: Rain - "This Year" issue

"Blaming others" - a bit unfair, you have chosen to use Cumulus, it was not designed and written specifically for you, you have to accept that it might not work in the way you think it should. In both this thread and the previous you were advised that you could alter the contents of your f...

Re: Rain - "This Year" issue

You have not recorded in your forum profile the type of weather station you use, but if it is of the Fine Offset family, then it might be that one of the parts of the console memory (i'm trying not to be too technical) got corrupted leading to Cumulus reading the rainfall wrongly. Start at http://wi...

Re: Top 10 Records Page

I have not looked up Mark's source, and I recall that I made many changes for my version as discussed with Mark at the time. I have found I used $recentHighlight = $monthNum * 31; // number of days (+1) of recent records to highlight, initialised at approximate equivalent for number of days so far t...

Re: Rain - "This Year" issue

This FAQ was written to answer these sort of queries http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#Where_does_Cumulus_get_its_this_month_and_this_year_rainfall_totals_from.3F . It tells you that the year you enter beside the year to date figure is compared with the current year to decide whether to add the figur...

Re: First run on a Mac with OSX 10.12

which files do I need to upload to the website manually? This is coverered in Steve's Cumulus MX Announcements http://sandaysoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=12908&start=45#p101008 (that is a long text to work through), but also more briefly in the Wiki: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Simpl...

Re: Decoding METARS

I presume you have looked at https://ec.gc.ca/manobs/default.asp?lan ... 3a380ded-1 Paul That is exactly what I was looking for, I had tried a search for 'METAR' on a different part of the EC site, but it gave me access to METAR reports, not the definition. I should have thought of adding 'publicat...
