Re: Top 10 Records Page

Meanwhile can you send me a link to that source Just to record that Mark and I resolved that by PM, where we also discussed site-specific and generic issues, as mentioned in his last post. Edit - unrelated to that, but perhaps relevant to this thread, when David Jamieson was writing articles for th...

Re: Windows 10 upgrade

I haven't had a single issue on Windows 10, with Cumulus or any other software. I echo that for all my software including Cumulus 1, although I had an operating system hiccup re its default language. So no USB change in this update for me. https://www.manula.com/manuals/pws/davis-kb/1/en/topic/wind...

Re: Top 10 Records Page

OK, found a copy of version 1.2! The group by changes consist of where there is a function applied to the date Aha, that is the insight I needed - Group By needs to be applied to the query output, not the input column! I know there is some reference to the GROUP BY problem earlier in the thread, bu...

Re: Top 10 Records Page

To stop hi-jacking the other thread, I thought I 'd start a new one for the Top 10 page. You can see my version here . The source code is here . This was inspired by Dans (captzero - brisbaneliveweather) pioneering work , though I developed my code independently. Mark, I've obviously looked at your...

Re: Top 10 Records Page

Maybe you have created a file but the script does not exist in it. Maybe the encoding of the page does not match what is declared as the encoding. The file you zipped uses UTF-8 encoding, but the file on your web server uses windows-1252 encoding. So there is a problem with the file on the web serv...

Re: Top 10 Records Page

My guess is that there is still an error, without seeing your source I cannot tell you what. Maybe you have created a file but the script does not exist in it. Has your script got "include ..." or "require ..." of another script that you do not have? Such an include/require would...

Re: New Script that displays a selected daily statistic for every day

is now dead. Oh, I had not picked that up. improving my web-site has been on the to-do list Yes, my to do list is enormous. My amateur efforts with computer projects take up more time than I can really spare, but from time to time, my other planned activities have been disrupted by other people, in...

Re: Top 10 Records Page

That script (top10) only reads the data, it does not write to the database. Insert is a write command I understand that, but I was responding to the SQL you quoted. i think the import cumulus script works: Processing dayfile: dayfile.txt Inserting data... Inserted 1078 rows done. Good, progress. So...

"PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function print_array() in H:\webspace\hostings\kocher.es\hosting\www\cumulusMX\dailypick_2_12.php on line 336" Ok, that is one of my many shared functions that appears in the script mentioned in the first include http://sandaysoft.com/forum/viewtopic.ph...

Re: New Script that displays a selected daily statistic for every day

Many thanks sfws Thank you. Well done for successfully using my script. I hope you don't mind me suggesting that a consistent set of navigation links across all the pages on your site would improve it. You need to choose between the "standard Cumulus links" and your various styles of butt...

Re: New Script that displays a selected daily statistic for every day

In http://sandaysoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=8690&p=90584#p90584 (January 2014) I said that I had abandoned my daily summary script using JavaScript (I see from looking now the final version of that managed 25 downloads) that was my project back in 2012 in favour of one using PHP, but...

Re: Top 10 Records Page

An SQL insert will only work if each of the column names within the first brackets is associated with within the second set of brackets either null or one value in quotes. The separator for SQL lists is a comma.

The SQL you quote does not conform to that, in too many ways for me to count!

Re: Highcharts Graphs

having "null" values in the data file - In mine I have set all those to zero values Maybe, it is just personal preference, as I'm not a computer specialist, but "garbage in, garbage out" is a saying that I have heard. I don't want to apply validation in each retrieval script, I ...
