Re: Comparing with one year ago

To repeat my previous answer explicitly, so you can copy and paste: You currently have missed out the class in the opening tag "<td>" and you have also missed out the closing tag "</td>" for the two extra table cells you have added to the end of the table row. <td> <?php echo &qu...

Re: Comparing with one year ago

Simple, look at your HTML code your PHP script produces. <tr class="table_two"> <td class="table_two">Low&nbsp;Temperature</td> <td class="table_two">8.2&nbsp;&#176;C</td> <td class="table_two">at&nbsp;07:04</td> <td class="table_two"...

Re: Site going down.

Pleased to report I have an entry in dayfile.txt for the 17th. The 16th is missing so I'll have to add that manually. I'll use the data from WU. It was an unremarkable day weather-wise so no other data needs editing. Ray, I see you now have added a line for 16th on http://www.cheadlehulmeweather.co...

Re: Customising which lines are displayed on graphs for Cumulus MX - now solved

Ideally I'd have liked to fill the area with a paler shade of the same hue (green) but I've not found a way of modifying colours yet. EXAMPLE: http://jsfiddle.net/gh/get/library/pure/highcharts/highcharts/tree/master/samples/highcharts/plotoptions/series-color-area/ SYNTAX: https://api.highcharts.c...

Re: This Year's Rainfall Total

William, my final suggestion (prompted by Water01 suggestion). Does your version of the daily summary on your 'table' web page treat single tip rainfall amounts as not significant? If so, the various ignored 0.1 (or whatever value is set) might sum to the discrepancy you report. Some versions of tha...

Re: This Year's Rainfall Total

A few additional thoughts, that might all be red herrings!... The table web page you link to mentions some problems with rain gauge and with Davis commmunications, did you make some adjustments in connection with those problems that amount to your discrepancy? As you use a Davis station, Cumulus wil...

Re: new Record it flash a led

http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Webtags_as_boolean_operators_in_HTML#Alarms was written for Cumulus 1, to simply explain how to add any alarm to a web page. In your case you might need an image that flashed a picture of a LED. In Cumulus 1, the alarm is cleared (unset) once it has been looked at. Most...

Re: Comparing with one year ago

Thanks sfws! Thank you for sharing the script too. Thank you for using it, your web page has a very neat look. I am pleased implementing a 6 year old script apparently did not involve too much effort from you. If the forum does manage to stay up after Monday, seeing my script being used by you migh...

However, that 0.01% is the Beaufort number/description not showing up. I get this error: Code: Select all PHP Notice: Undefined variable: beaufort in /home/wareham1/public_html/yesterday_lastYear.php on line 63 Line 329 has error in second parameter of call, you have: '<span class="lowerfont&q...

Re: Comparing with one year ago

just need to sort Temperature Range / Dominant Direction /Wind Run out as it not showing up ? It would need me to do a lot of studying to check how the script does these calculations, because on my own test (not online) site I have totally revised how I calculate these. For temperature range, the s...

Re: Comparing with one year ago

I am pleased to see that you now have the test page almost working in that figures appear in all parts of the table although you are showing figures relating to a different month depending on what the time is when anybody loads the web page, whilst you should be showing statistics for 3 October 2018...

Re: Comparing with one year ago

A very quick peep (because I am very busy) shows that the javascript (view-source:http://www.davisworthing.co.uk/test/aYearAgo_from_Dayfile.js) is looking in your day file (http://www.davisworthing.co.uk/test/dayfile.txt) for a day in 2020 that does not exist yet as a line in that file. So there is ...

Re: Annual Data Summary update failure

Thats the old windows 10 setup default problem and does explain the corruption problem. Incidentally, my own scripts do not need to be told what separator is used between fields, they simply look to see what character appears after the two figure year in dayfile.txt! So my scripts cope with Microso...

Re: Annual Data Summary update failure

I believe the computer you are using for the test has different field separator compared to that set on your laptop? I assume your "readDayfile.php" source is the original David Jamieson code which has ',' defined as the field separator. I guess you have not revised it as I see you are loa...
