Re: Instructions: Installing CumulusMX on Raspberry Pi

I do have a couple questions, what's the reasoning behind doing a reboot every night? I am running CumulusMX on a Pi without problems and I never reboot. Also, what's the "safest" way to shut down CumulusMX and the Pi if I need to make changes or move it, etc? Use this script: http://sand...

Re: USB stop responding

I had problems with the USBconnection between my WMR100 and the Raspberry3.
After I installed a powered hub between them last year, I have had no problems.

Re: USB lockups Fine Offset 3080, solved by shielding USB cable (?)

A better solution is probably to use a powered USB hub between the Rasberry and the console.
The USB in RPI is known to be poorly powered.

Oregon Scientific WMR100 and 100% Humidity

In Cumulus v1.9.4 it was possible to set a flag (Humidity98Fix=1) to correct the humidity to 100% when the station has a maximum of 98%.
In MX this flag does nothing. Is that correct?

Re: remote 1080 console reset

I have an Oregon WMR100 connected to an USB port on a Raspberry PI 3 running Cumulux MX. The first months I lost connection 2-3 times a month, but after installing a powered HUB between the two devices (advice from this forum) I have had no problems for 3 month.

Re: WMR100 - RasberryPi 3 - Data stops

Thank you, Steve. I hope the Hub could solve the problem, I cannot go up there until August. If not, the question is: will a Davis Vue be the solution? I will not have a Mac or laptop to control the Weatherlink, so will it be stable with a third party data logger and the Raspberry? Has anybody good ...

WMR100 - RasberryPi 3 - Data stops

I used to run WMR100 and Cumulus1 on an old Window XP laptop, but it was many problems with the laptop. The weather station is in a cabin in the mountains so I only visit it a couple of times per month. The Raspberry is much more stable and starts up again after power cuts (which happens regularly)....

Re: Com port problems

Hi Eivind,
did you solve this problem?
Is the BelfryBoy datalogger a stable solution?

Steinar
