Re: ini file reverts back (in particular data logger)

Debug logging and data logging are OFF by default. If you turn them on or off in the UI, that is for the current session only. To change them permanently you edit Cumulus.ini. For debug logging the item is "Logging" and for data logging the item is "DataLogging". A value of zero...

Re: Cumulus Backup files anywhere else? - Hit with Virus

Yes there is no substitute for for regular backups, but sh*it happens :o I'm sure you tried different approaches already, a quick search found lots of info. This site had some pretty good advice, https://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-cryptolocker-virus/ Some good alternatives that might be able to re...

Re: ini file reverts back (in particular data logger)

I can confirm, if I uncheck data logging via the console, it does indeed stop logging the transfers. But upon restart, data logging *will* be checked ON once again. Crap, my bad.... It is the Debug logging that is enabled, even if you turn it off via the console, it is enabled after a restart. is th...

Re: NOAA-reports erroneous character

as for the F12 console, not really sure what to look for I think you need to click on that tab marked 'console', then it might show some errors. You might need to refresh the page. raintodayeditor.js was missing, copied it from the dist and everything appears to work. Feel bad I didn't find that in...

Re: NOAA-reports erroneous character

No, the editor screen, I can use the up/down arrows to change the desired amount ok, click apply and Dashboard stays the same, Today.ini stays the same as well. today.ini won't get written until the next log file update, but the change should register straight away on the dashboard. After you've cl...

Re: NOAA-reports erroneous character

Steve, you fixed it in b-3035, however.. Now there is a "?" in place of the degree symbol. Yes, I see that myself. Do you have utf-8 selected? I don't but I've just selected it now. It might correct it. I'll see if I can work out why the ASCII version doesn't work properly. Character enco...

Re: NOAA-reports erroneous character

OK, thanks, I'll change it. It's what it does for everything else anyway. I've also found the setting to force ANSI rather than expecting 'default' to do the right thing. Steve, you fixed it in b-3035, however.. Now there is a "?" in place of the degree symbol. Quick question, the Today's...

Re: NOAA-reports erroneous character

[quote="steve"]It is saved as UTF-8 (i.e. with BOM) but that's exactly the same as Cumulus 1 does if the NOAA UTF-8 option is set. If the UTF-8 option is not set in MX, it using the default encoding, which according to the .Net documentation is ANSI. The problem is that with Mono, it seems...

NOAA-reports erroneous character *Fixed in 3035* However ??

There is an character in the NOAA-reports generated by MX in the very top left of monthly and yearly reports, (a period) I never noticed until the other day, I've run MX from it's start but also still used 1.94 as well, that is what I was using for the reports. That laptop's HD gave up the other day...

Re: Cumulus chill hours

Look in your /backup folder, depending on when you restarted cumulus, the Chillhours will be in Today.ini
You could find the previous hours up to the reset there.

Re: Today's rain / Past 24hrs

Cumulus (1 and MX) has a configurable threshold for the maximum feasible amount of rain between 48-seconds updates - 30 tips, equivalent to 9 mm or just over a third of an inch. Your station reported just over half an inch (47 tips) in 48 seconds, so Cumulus ignored it for the purposes of the daily...

Re: Today's rain / Past 24hrs

Please zip up the mxdiags and diags folders and attach them. This is two consoles receiving data from the same rain gauge, yes? Correct. Now that I'm looking it over, it appears that spike removal worked against be a little there. Right around 20:00 on 05/30 looks like rainday was reset, quite a fe...
