Re: Cumulus 2 suggestions

Building up some good ideas now. Agree with the data logger. While I was on holiday recently Cumulus was accidently exited so when I returned I have no data for a 10 day period. I think ?? if it had been able to read my data logger it could have downloaded the info and fill the gaps ? How far back ...

Re: Suggestion

This is the current roadmap:

1. Get Cumulus working reliably with Fine Offset stations (hopefully just about there now)
2. Use 'history data' in Fine Offset logger
3. Use history data in Vantage Pro/Pro2 loggers
4. All the other stuff, in some sort of random order

Re: Maintainence issues with MyDEL or similar

I think I read on someone's web site about them deciding their connector looked a bit exposed, so they did something about it. Can't remember where I read it, nor what they did. Useful, huh? :)

Re: Suggestion

Bob,

Yes, someone else asked for a 'daily report' email, and extending it to alarms wouldn't be hard. Consider it on the list!

I'm not sure what you mean?

Since Cumulus2 is on hold this can be done easly and quick for current version.

I'll be the judge of that ;)

Re: Cumulus HTML Transaprrent tags

So to clarify, the values in the array is spaced at whatever interval the data is read from the weather station. Is that right? Yes. Off-course the next question will be if there is any way to know what this interval is? Not truly (or even remotely) necessary for my immediate use, so simply just fo...

Re: Cumulus HTML Transaprrent tags

Jan, 1) I think there is a typo in the help file for tags. The normal wind gust max tag for today is <#wgustTM> and the time tag for it is <#TwgustTM> as opposed to the published <#TgustTM> Thanks - I'll fix the help file. the tags for all time Max Wind Speed and time <#windM> <#TwindM> to work. I m...

Re: Nat. Geo. 265NC / Cumulus 1.7.16 / Weather Underground

I'm not sure the Easyweather rainfall problem is the same as the Cumulus rainfall problem. I think that when the Easyweather problem starts, the rainfall just keeps going up, but with Cumulus it's one big jump. It may actually be the same problem, I suppose, if it's bad data from the station, but Ea...

Cumulus 1.7.16 available

This version should fix the problems many people have had with direct USB connection to Fine Offset stations. Also new is support of uploads to pwsweather.com (aka WeatherForYou and HAMweather). I've decided to resume development of this version of Cumulus, and put Cumulus 2 on the back burner for n...

Re: Counter

Jerry,

I think that you might need to restart Cumulus for the additional annual rainfall to appear in all the totals. I think that's probably a bug :-)

I am planning a facility for editing all the monthly and annual rainfall totals.

Re: Problems with 'Easyweather Direct' in 1.7.15

I'd done about 25% of the work for using the logged data (so no need for 24/7), but then people started hitting problems with the existing stuff, so of course I need to get that working properly before I carry on. But I will get there!

Re: Counter

Jerry,

You could edit the 'template' files - the ones with a capital T in them from which the web pages are generated, e.g. indexT.htm, and put in whatever the code is that the hit counter requires.

Re: Problems with 'Easyweather Direct' in 1.7.15

There seem to be a few 'quirks' in the way these stations operate. Please regard the current support for them as 'beta' for now. I'm happy for people to download and try it, but be prepared for problems and be prepared to supply diagnostics to help me track down the problems.

Thanks,
Steve
